My name is Daniel Michael, I am from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I have had struggles with fitness going from up and down over the last few years. 7 years ago I was competing at a National Level in Taekwondo, due to family issues in home I was pulled out from Training and began to, what I like to call “falling down the hole”. From reaching so far up and training 6 days a week to then eating fast food on the couch I began to find myself looking in the mirror and wondering what had happen to my body and wellbeing. I woke up everyday feeling lazy and unmotivated telling myself that tomorrow I was going to get back up on my feet and regain my self, days turned into weeks and weeks into months and then to years. After a straight 6 years of neglecting training a friend of mine came to me with the honest observation that I was unhappy and that sitting around and doing nothing was causing me to become more depressed and in turn affecting my health. I’ll never forget what my friend said to me, forgive me if this offends anyone. He said, “stop making excuses and complaining, shut up and get up.

The start is always the hardest and really I’m honestly luck to have someone to motivate me. I was in a hole, a dark place where I had no motivation and no goals it was just living life one day at a time as it comes. I work as a Model/Actor in Asia. Life as a Model/actor is not all its cracked up to be, there are long lines of people waiting to cast for jobs (lines in the 100’s some times) and expectations of what you look like is a huge part of this industry. Living a non nutritious life style with, oily fatty foods, un heard of amounts of alcohol and constant parities that play a great influence on your sleep. It has a major affect on not just outer appearance but mentally and physically too. Everyday I was feeling like I was deteriorating little by little, I began getting sick constantly for weeks on end, aches in my body, feeling exhausted from morning to night. I would skip meals due to being on the go and started suffering from breakouts which affected my self-esteem, made me insecure. There were times that people would look at me and I just knew they were looking down at me, it made me question who I was and what was I doing. This was not the life I had imagined for myself.

As we all know there are so many products on the market today, that say they work and some that claim that they are the best. I have tried, products from multivitamins, proteins, fat burners, amino’s, shakes, teas, performance enhancers even the little pills that claim you will build muscle over night just by taking them.
