My name is Tara Carte. I'm 29 years old. I am a busy wife, mother of 2 and a Registered Nurse. I started this challenge to lose weight, look better, and most importantly feel better. I have been struggling with hip and pelvis pain that has kept me from sleeping and has interfered with my day to day activities. I had days where it was very difficult to get in bed and out of the car. I was unable to carry my 2 year old daughter. I was seeing an osteopath on a regular basis to put my body in alignment.I was also seeing a Physical Therapist twice a month. In November of 2012 I was released from physical therapy with the directions to continue to strengthen my muscles to help keep them aligned which will decrease the pain. At this point I was able to walk approximately 1/4 mile indoors (not on uneven surfaces). My instructions were to expect baby steps and learn my limitiations. The other option was to get injections to tighten up my ligaments, but with the possibility of them getting too tight and causing future issues. I knew I was at a point where I needed to take charge of my body and to be my best self.
I was introduced to Yor Health by my best friend since Kindergarten, Melanie McPeak. I have been using the products inconsistantly for 2 years, but I knew I had tools to help and it was time to use them. At this point I weighed 141 at 5'3", I weighed 147, 9 months pregnant so this was a huge deal to me, so I started replacing 1 meal a day, either breakfast or lunch. I also started to a walking video. I would eat healthy snacks between meals and enjoy dinner with my family. At the start of the 8 week body challenge I weighed in at 136 and could walk up to 1 mile. I knew that it could only get better. I continued to replace my 1 meal a day and I started taking my vitamins and enzymes with meals and drinking supergreens in the afternoon. I take repair at bedtime. I stepped up my activity from 3 times weekly to 6. I have increased my walking. I can now walk 2-4 miles without difficulty. I can walk exercise outside. I complete a total body ballet workout which help strengthen my muscles 3 times weekly. I meet obstacles, but instead of seeing them as a road block I see them as a challenge that I can overcome.
I can see the difference, but most importantly I can feel the difference.I see stronger muscles, more shape and feel less pain. I see that my body has better alignment. I am sleeping through the night compared to waking up 6-7 times. I weighed in at 129 at the completion of the 8 week challenge. I reached my goal and it feels great! Thank you Yor Health for providing health products that make a difference and help individuals achieve their goals. I am happier and healhier and I look forward to continuing the use of my products, decreasing my pain and feeling my best in the months and years to come.
