Wow what an 8 weeks!

When I first started the challenge my main goal was to sculpt and gain a bit of definition, that was it. Fast forward 8 weeks and as well as getting much more defined (more than I thought I could have achieved) I have lost nearly 7kg's when I didn't even think I had that much weight to lose! On top of that I also managed to get my body fat % to drop from 16.1% 12.4% whilst maintaining lean muscle.

This 8 week challenge not only sharpened my body but also my mind. At the very beginning the smallest things seem to annoy me and get on my nerves. A week or so in I had a minor glitch with signing up under an incorrect account and as silly as it sounds I was over it and ready to throw in the towel. It was at that moment I realised maybe I needed this more than I thought, and I was right.

I started at 78.5 kg and in my eyes I felt I looked as good as the next person but to keep it simple and a tad generic I always wanted a better set of abs and that's how my challenge began. I stuck to a pretty basic eating plan but gave up large quantities of things such as dairy, gluten rich foods, junk foods and alcohol. Temptations popped up quite occasionally but I knew they would only slow my progress, to the disappointment of friends and family, I passed on these temptations. I also allowed a cheat meal at least once a week which kept me motivated and accountable.

I exercised 5 times a week, and during the last couple weeks I tried to manage 6 sessions weekly to really race towards some satisfying results. My workout program consisted of 3-4 weights sessions and 2-3 cardio sessions, this varied week to week. I tried to mix things up at the gym using cables, free weights and machines while I limited cardio sessions to high intensity intervals such as sprints and even kicking the footy with mates to break it up and have a bit of fun.

Taking YOR Health's range of products religiously over the period made things much easier and ensured I felt amazing 100% of the time. The products I used included supergreens, fibre and berry blast first thing in the morning, MRP in my breakfast smoothies and post and pre workout shakes, digest ultra and essential vitamin with lunch and dinner, repair at morning and night and probiotics before bedtime. There is no doubt in my mind that these products did a lot of the hard work I can't biologically do in getting me to where I wanted to go from the moment I got up till the moment my head hit the pillow.

I intend to maintain and improve on my body and plan to enter the challenge again in the near future. Must also shout out to my sister Nicole for helping me out with advice on my eating and workout plans. Doing this challenge has shown me anythings possible when you put your head down and do the work. I would recommend everyone fit or unfit, old or young give it a try at least once so they can experience being their best self!

*The testimonials contained on this website and any other publication or printed materials are provided by customers who have used at least one YOR Health product. Please be advised that the testimonials contained on this website and any other publication or printed materials reflect only the experiences of the customer who has provided the testimonial. YOR Health does not make any claim that such experiences are typical or are indicative of future performance or success of using one of their products.

The above individual’s results may not be typical. As of October 2025, those who completed 8 weeks in the weight loss category of YOR Best Body lost an average of 13.86 lb (6.29 kg), or 1.73 lb (0.78 kg) per week. When replacing 2 out of 5 mini-meals per day with a meal replacement shake, the average person should expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week. As with any reduced-calorie diet, the amount of weight you'll lose will depend on the number of calories you consume in proportion to your weight. Optimal results are achieved when following the product regimen in combination with a healthy diet and exercise program.

Individual results may vary. Factors that may affect your results include (but are not limited to) your metabolism, exercise routine, diet, smoking, pregnancy, current medications and any medical conditions. As with any health or fitness program, regular exercise and a sensible eating plan are essential to achieve long-term weight loss results. No customer was paid for a testimonial.
