Hi to all reading
Firstly I am an adopted child and ever since I can remember I've battled with my weight. I only met my biological mother when I was 11 and she was very obese so I got told from a young age that it's in my genes to be fat. 2 years later after meeting my biological mother she passed away from pancreatic cancer due to her unhealthy lifestyle her obesity was the issue, she was only 30.

My life so far has been a battle of my body, starting an giving up, being impatient and giving up, struggling an giving up, hating myself for giving up, always giving up!

Then I found YOR Health! I read and heard so many inspiring stories, I met some of the most amazing people in this company who from just being in their presence gave me the drive to get fit and healthy. I learnt so much about food and how it works in my body, having that 'lightbulb' moment when you understand why we eat and not hating myself every time I put food in my mouth was what changed everything I thought I knew.

For weeks I was not sure if I wanted to do this 8 week challenge when I heard about it, but I am glad I committed my full self and took the pledge to get fit and change my life by doing the Yor best body challenge!

Getting my products was so exciting, having learnt the benefits it had in my body and seeing results from past contestants and friends, I knew this would be my 'not so' secret weapon haha....

My favourite way to use my products was SuperGreens in the morning and at night, I would add berry blast to it if I planned on working out straight away, in fact I had a berryblast each workout as it gave me the extra energy no matter how tired I was it helped me to sweat it out! and an MRP with fibre after each workout! Cleaning out my digestive system was the most effective part of my weight loss which allowed me to lose nearly 1kg a week.

I work long hours as a waitress and study full time as a nurse, I have always made excuses to not be healthy because I was tired and had no time but with the help of the products I had so much more energy and my mind felt clearer, my skin and hair was looking healthier and I didn't feel bloated anymore!

I wasn't able to have the products consistently throughout my challenge as I came into financial issues but It didn't stop my routine of eating 80% healthy, clean and 20% 'bad' (within reason) and would take advantage of any Yor products I could get my hands on (my partners stash haha).

Everyday I woke up and told myself "today you will be a champion", as stupid as it sounds I needed to talk to myself better because despite being bullied and ridiculed for as long as I can remember about my weight, I was the one holding myself back! My self talk was worse than those bullies and it's not until half way through this challenge that I realised this. Working out becomes fun when you push through the pain and feeling of throwing up and start seeing results. I made sure I tapped myself on the back and acknowledged my efforts wether physical or mental.

This challenge was not just about my best body, it was about my best me! It challenged my mind, my body, my heart and soul. I didn't even see the results myself until I compared my final photos, for the first time I had nothing to say and just smiled. I am an average person who works long and hard for a living and I really didn't have time to workout everyday but I created time by going whenever I could even if it was straight after a 11hr day on my feet!

I knew I would feel great after, I just needed to 'Turn Up'.

Working out was not just about 'working' it was fun, I didn't just go to the gym, I found all sorts of ways to challenge myself, at work I would volunteer to pack stock away as I could get in some extra toning haha and at the beach my partner and I would make up games which involved obstacles drawn in the sand and having to challenge each other to get to the other side. Doing workouts in the play ground by my house, I now see, slides and monkey bars aren't just for kids.

What got me through these 8weeks was the small victories I paid myself every time I pushed my limits. Now at the end of this challenge, it's only the start to the rest of my life, I still have further I want to go with myself but I now have the tools, the drive and the confidence to finally get not just the body I have always wanted but to be the person I have always wanted to be.

If I knew 8weeks ago I would have changed my life I wouldn't have waited so long to take this challenge on. I am so proud of myself and so grateful for those who pushed me everyday (my partner) and even more to those who thought I couldn't do it (me)!! If I could leave everyone reading this with one thing it's that: life's inevitable challenges will become opportunities to make you more powerful!!!

Thank you for reading my story.
