So my 8 week challenge is over. I am very happy with the results and feel so much better in myself.
My weight before I started the challenge was 52.8kg, my final weight was 53.8kg. Although I increased in weight I am still very happy with the results.
The products I have been using were: YOR MRP, YOR SuperGreens, YOR Berry Blast, YOR Repair Ultra, YOR Probiotics Ultra and YOR Digest Ultra.
When I woke I took a YOR Repair and YOR Probiotics. Then around 9am I had my YOR MRP as my breakfast. This fit in well with the school run. I would have it when I got back from taking the kids to school. It made me feel full straight away and lasted until lunch time. I got on with my daily ‘things to do’. I then had my YOR SuperGreens and Berry Blast together around 11ish. This wasn’t great to start with but I soon got used to it. I had my lunch at noon. It was usually a small snack, a wrap or salad. I had my YOR Digest with my lunch. I definitely felt less bloated and more energetic after eating when using YOR Digest. I usually have a dip in energy throughout the day (around 3 / 4 o’clock) so this is when I have another Berry Blast. It gave me an instant energy boost that lasted into the evening. At about 6pm I had dinner. This time I had larger meal but less than I have had preciously. It normally consisted of a meat or fish with salad or vegetables. Sometimes I would just have a jacket potato with salad. I had another YOR Digest with this meal. I was then going to have another MRP around 8/9pm but I never ended up having this because I wasn’t hungry and if I did feel a bit peckish, a piece of fruit would normally suffice. I felt this regime fit in very well with in my day.
I started exercising straight away when I started the challenge although it did vary throughout. As I have three children and my husband is also very active (always out at rugby training / Gym) it was difficult to keep it regular but I always made sure I did enough exercise. On a Monday I went to a circuit class, which I really enjoy and look forward to this every week. Wednesdays and Fridays I go to the gym for 45-50 minutes. I did this whilst my children were boxing training and rugby training, so this fit in really well as it is all in the same place. I also went to Boxercise a few times but this wasn’t as regular as I would have liked as we had other commitments. I teach Gymnastics on a Tuesday (2 hours) and on a Saturday (4-5 hours). I am very active in these classes, getting really involved in demonstrating so the classes are quite physical. When I couldn’t make a boxercise class or if I felt like I needed more exercise I had a fitness plan made up which I could do at home, so I did this or even jumped on the Wii and did some Wii Fit or JUST DANCE!
Completing the 8 week challenged has changed how I feel about me so much. I was never really overweight but after having three children I was left with parts of my body that I didn’t like. Saying this I never felt a massive need to exercise and was even put off by people telling me ‘you don’t need to lose weight’. But after doing the challenge for a few weeks, and noticing the changes in my body, I can’t believe I hadn’t done it sooner. It is a great feeling when people notice too, not that I look skinny, as they said I would but that I good, fit, and healthy. It made me so much more determined to do more. I know now the difference between working towards a slimmer body and working towards a fitter, more toned body. I even have arm muscles and feel physically stronger.
Eating habits have also changed so much. Not just for me but for the whole family. I used to make lots of teas, which was quite annoying really as it meant lots of washing up after, and it took up so much time. I’d make my youngest (now 3) his tea. Then my two older children (8 and 9) their tea, then something for me and my husband. When I started looking at healthier and more filling foods, I just make lots of it, so we could all eat it. During school holiday which was part way through the challenge I had the kids helping me cook from recipe books which we all enjoyed.
Eating all the good foods, foods which I probably would never have tried has given me so much more energy and I feel so much better. My family have also benefited as they too are eating much better. I have so much more time to spend with my family as I’m not spending all afternoon and evening cooking and cleaning.
Moving on from the challenge I am definitely going to continue my exercise regime and my healthy eating. Nothing bad at all has come from me doing the challenge. I feel so much healthier, and look so much better.
One of my goals was to fit into a dress which I bought a while ago that has never fit, which now does so I’m very happy with that. Although my weight hasn’t gone down my clothes are looser than they were before.
I will definitely be recommending others do the challenge and will continue with the products I have been taking. There are still parts of my body that I’m not happy with and will continue working on these and in time I know that I will be happy. I did think that I would never get rid of my ‘jelly belly’ but in just 8 short weeks it is so much more toned. I can’t wait to show it off in my bikini on holidays with the family.
I am so glad I did the challenge!!! and can't wait to show everyone my before and after photos.
