In a small, small state, not so far, far away, I began a new life, which was to begin with a total hip replacement. I was terribly out of shape, and overweight, so my doctor told me, "lose at least 10 pounds or no surgery for you!" I knew that I needed the surgery badly. Work was painful and life was not fun at 263 lbs, so when my buddy Eric (my son), introduced me to the YOR Health product line, I jumped right in and gave it my best shot. I began to lose weight almost immediately, losing 15 pounds before my next doctors appointment, and putting my surgery on the fast track. All went well with the surgery and I decided to stay the course while I was recovering, which then netted me another 25 pound loss, for a for a grand total of 40 pounds. Now Eric had appealed to me about the 8-week challenge and I told him there was no way that I was going to put a shirtless picture of myself on the internet, it just wasn't going to happen. With some (okay a lot!) of prodding from Eric, I finally decided to enter the challenge and continued to lose weight. I can honestly say that I put effort into my challenge. Despite joining right before the holidays (which I didn't realize at the time), I lost an additional 3 pounds, bringing my total weight loss to 43 pounds! In these 8 weeks, I started at 223 lbs, and finished at 220 lbs.
I used all the YOR Health products, but my favorite product, and the one that helped me lose the weight was the shake. It's also the tastiest product that I took just once, every day.
During this challenge, I began a workout program, which has netted me quite a nice gain in muscle tissue, but not a lot, per say, weight loss as told by the scale. With all that said, I do look forward to the next challenge where I intend to continue to replace fat with muscle and continue my journey to achieve a healthy life in both mind and body!
