I went into this challenge cycle with a goal to get leaner and gain muscle. I wanted to improve my fitness overall and tone my whole body, as well as cut down my body fat percentage. I divided my attention to specific areas of my body each day that I went to the gym to ensure that every muscle group was being trained. I worked out at the gym four days a week with a workout buddy and on days I had to work I walked to and from work. The buddy system is so powerful because you can keep one another accountable while working towards the same mission. The challenge has helped me become stronger not only physically, but mentally as well. From the girl who was one afraid to go near the weight room due to feeling a bit of intimidation, to the girl who has become quite familiar with the weights and encourage other women to lift weights as well. The impact the 8 Week Challenge has had on my life is amazing. It has helped me to push myself more. I've gained a ton of confidence. I don't mind being known as the fit girl because I'm able to inspire my family and friends to want to take their own health more seriously. What more could I ask for? I'm looking forward to joining the next cycle and getting even greater results!
