Getting myself involved in the 8-Week Challenge was probably the best choice to get myself back on track. With the results that I see and feel within myself, I can say that I'm very proud of my accomplishments.
I've always stayed active. It's something that has always been apart of my lifestyle. I didn't feel overweight nor did I feel I was underweight. One day I had decided to enter to compete in a body building competition. I wanted to see how hard I can push myself. I wanted to test my discipline. I wanted it to be an amazing accomplishment. I most certainly did meet my goals. However, doing the things that I had done to my body, putting it through so much stress and NOT listening to what my body needed. The end result was traumatizing for me. Weighing in at 49kg competition to 65kg. I went from rock hard body to becoming soft and feeling like a balloon within a matter of days! One word; Scary!!
I felt so depressed, helpless, confused, frustrated, you name it. I was not a happy camper. Putting on the extra amount of weight made it a huge challenge for me. I had retained a lot of water so it was painful at times to workout. Lifting weights became extremely hard. Doing any body weight workouts became frustrating because I knew I could do more, I had done it before! So seeing myself go through with this was hard. I started to wear baggy clothes and I completely isolated myself from the people I love and care about.
I had to give myself some time. I had to start from the beginning. I needed to pay attention to my body and listen to it. Once I was able to get things going, I entered the bestbody challenge. I weighed in at 56kg. I worked out twice a day, six times a week. I used the Complete Burn or berry blast first thing in the morning and do my 30 min cardio. In the evening before I worked out I would have my Yor Shake. My diet consisted of protein and veggies and low carb. With each meal I had the Digestive Enzymes and the Multi-vitamins. For snacks I allowed myself to have 1 fruit a day and have unlimited veggies and have my SuperGreens.
I can honestly say, the past 8 weeks has been a journey. I have gained my confidence back. My discipline is on point! I made this challenge to listen to my body and it shows. I feel healthier and happier! I have my lifestyle back!! Thank you Yor Health and YorBestBody for helping this girl get back on right track!!
It doesn't stop here, I most definitely can't wait until the next cycle. I'm excited to see more results for myself!!!!! YAY!
