I joined this challenge as I was sick of being comfortable... In my current career it is all about getting uncomfortable and I needed to get uncomfortable with my physical health too! I was sick of being average! I wanted abs! Ha!

Working as a health professional 2 days a week and owning my own health and wellness company has meant my own health and wellness has often taken a back seat, especially being on the road (and in the air a lot).

For the past 5 years, since finishing university and losing 19kilos, I have sat at a comfortable weight of 65kgs, maybe a little more.

I had always struggled majorly with body image and weight, right up until I finished university, and even after losing a lot of weight I was still so hard on myself, as most of us are! I thought, I've been well educated on clean eating by my beautiful mum, friends and through self learning, and feel I practice it (most days), however, I've never liked the idea of 'diets' and being controlled (which is strange because in every other aspect of my life I would almost say in a control freak!). So when I was told I didn't have to restrict anything, just continue with what I was eating and add a few products I thought great! I was already exercising regularly, but needed a bit of extra motivation to push that little bit more.

The final deciding factor in choosing to give the YOR HEALTH products a go was the fact I had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago (after losing all my weight) and was educated on the benefits of the probiotics and digestive enzymes for aiding digestion. I'd always had this hard, little pot belly, much like my Dad's... Like everything we are blessed with from our parents.. I blamed genetics (ha, love you Dad if you're reading this)! But within a week I noticed less bloating and tightness. While I have not had the weight loss I would have liked, I'm super stoked with the tone I'm developing and the fact you can start to see that, yes, there are actually muscles under there!

So how did I do it? Boxing/cardio classes 5-6 times a week, clean eating, super greens in my smoothy (coconut water, banana, frozen berries) in the morning, digestive enzymes with lunch and dinner and probiotics before bed! Cutting down my alcohol consumption is also assisting (not to say I don't go out and have a great time, I just watch what I drink and the amount. Tip: vodka waters cut the calories and the hangover! Ha!).

While my results are not mind blowing, I'm still super stoked as I journeyed through this challenge as I would in my day to day living. I wanted to see that, with my busy and social lifestyle, it was maintainable... And I can surely say it is! Life is all about balance and I cannot wait to keep on my holistic health journey, it doesn't stop here!

So...Here's to the next 8 weeks!
