To begin with I would like to introduce myself, I am Joel Parkinson born in Tokoroa New Zealand on March 22nd 1983. I come from a land where food and fresh produce is plentiful and growing up in a large family meant there was always plenty of food to go around, as my family believed it was better to have more than not enough. Having that outlook was both satisfying as well as detrimental to how I would see food. Growing up I was fairly slim until I hit mid to late teens, around the age where physical activities no longer took president in my life. I am now 31 and in the last 5 years since moving across the ditch to Australia, my weight issues have begun to take a toll on me both physically and mentally.
I am a Custodial Corrections Officer and although I love my job, at times it can be quite challenging. We get provided with meals on a daily basis and I tend to eat more than what I should. I have met a lot of great people whilst living in Australia, one of whom Tyreece who I met while working for Corrections. He was instantly an inspiration to me as he is whole heartedly involved in keeping in shape and being at his best. I spoke with him and mentioned my issues with weight and how it has always affected me, causing a lot of problems with my self-esteem. It wasn’t before long Tyreece and I were at a café where we discussed my concerns involving my weight. He gave me some insight into YOR Health Products and from then on I just had to know more. A small presentation was arranged for that night at my home to myself, my partner and my mother, and from that night I knew my life and well-being was about to change.
I enrolled and began with the Starter Pack, as that was what I could afford at the time. I received the pack on March 21st, a day before my birthday. On the day of my birthday I woke up and thought to myself whether I should drink and party, OR should I start YOR Health today? Needless to say I took the healthy option and got out of bed and started my birthday with a YOR shake.-Something I’ll never regret doing on my 31st birthday!
Within the first week of starting YOR Health Products, I was given a lot of advice on how to take them especially from my friend Tyreece. He taught me a lot about diet and exercise and also when to take the products and what food to consume with them. Tyreece also explained the YOR Best Body 8-Week Challenge, again I had to know more, and before I knew it I had signed up. From then I planned a workout regimen and eating plan specific to my needs, I also knew I needed help with setting up a circuit of exercises, so I got some advice and took it all home. I was lucky to have already joined my local gym, so a location for exercise was not going to be a problem. Being a father of 3 would make this challenging; and I had to plan accurately to ensure I had a balance of work, home-life and exercise.
In that first week I was surprised at how I actually cracked down on my diet straight away. My first weigh in before i had started the challenge was 127kg (279.9lbs). I was making healthy choices and having small-portion meals and it was in the first few days i noticed I wasn't bloated as per usual and the kgs were coming off. I had cut out a lot of carbs and everything in that area was going great. I was full of energy and my body for once felt like it was actually functioning the way it should've been all these years! I also knew if I wanted to stick this out for the next 8-weeks I really had to get that motivation I needed. I started to search YouTube for motivational music, workout music videos and different types of exercise tutorials. I would play them in my lounge, volume up loud and imitate the exercises and techniques on the television. I was doing this for 30 minutes a day, and it quickly became tedious doing that repeatedly, so it was obvious I needed to up the intensity. Week two is where I got back into the gym scene and since I work shifts, I would get up, some days at 4am and head to the gym before work.
I have maintained the same routine since week two and I constantly switch up the intensity level where appropriate to keep the progress and motivation. Here is how I was taking the YOR Health Products, and continue to take them now;

Since my goal is to slim down I would have this shake with chilled water instead of milk, also a few cubes of ice keeps the shake cool and fresh for longer. – I highly recommend

As each week has gone by, I have been continuously purchasing products to ensure I have enough supplies right up until the end of the challenge and thereafter. This has been a life changing experience; the 8-weeks have surprisingly gone quicker than I had expected. I have been steadily losing an average of 1.8kg(3.9lbs)per week and I have never been happier with this aspect of my life. I can honestly see myself taking these products for an ever extending period of time, if not for the rest of my life! I love a good challenge, and this has pushed me to my limits. I will enter the 8 week challenge as much as I can and I can not thank you enough for giving me this opportunity to participate. I have lost 13Kg (28lbs) and i currently weigh 114kg (251lbs). I am nearly at my goal weight of 110kg and I will continue with YOR until i reach that goal, and beyond! I am sincerely grateful for such wonderful products and for giving me the peace of mind in knowing that I am going to be around to watch my children grow.
