To be successful, you will go through wins and losses, ups and downs, but the most important thing you have to remember during those down moments. Is to never lose enthusiasm. After finishing 2nd and 3rd on previous occasions, I told myself that this time I'm going to win. By any means necessary, I will prove, not just to myself, to my friends, to my family, even to those who didn't believe I can do this that i will get this done. This by far, has been the hardest as far as mental strength goes. Because i really pushed to see how I can go. So here I am 8 weeks later, 4th challenge completed 11 kg lighter and I must say I'm not stopping here.
This challenge, I started at 90kg which is overweight in my mind and I had definitely been slack with my eating, my training prior to the beginning of this. I was so consistent at that, I thought well then I can definitely be consistent at putting my body through the test with eating the right foods and training my hardest, and in one word ‘WOOOOOOOWW’, this was all worth it. I surpassed my goal of 80kg by reaching 79kg and it blew my mind to say the least. A lot has come from my good friend Annaleise, who was alongside me this whole challenge and I thank her so much for her knowledge, encouragement and inspiration. She helped me see what I can be, showed me how to do it and I believed it and went after it with everything I got. And there were certainly a lot of challenges along the way. The road to success will take a lot of obstacles and barriers to push through. For me, the challenges I dealt with was my money was decaying day by day, and I had to make my meal preps even stricter by simplifying it too just spinach, broccoli, sweat potato and chicken and that's it. That's all I could barely afford. And then all these other things started happening. 2 weeks out of completing this came I fell into serious debt. And earning 70 bucks a week is not going to cover you especially when your debt count is in the thousands. All the emotions started rocking in, all the pain and suffering, victims thoughts, I really I couldn't handle it. My relationships with people just felt like it got worse and worse, I really didn't know what was happening. And I was terrified. So the pain I went through was enough to make me want to do something about it, and what kept me going was those dreams I had as a kid. I started thinking and believing like I was a kid again. My goals, my health, everything I am grateful for kept pushing me despite the challenges I faced. Because I still managed to get through to this day, achieve the result and the body I envisioned.
A special thanks to the yor health product range helped me out quite a lot, my energy and attitude certainly sparked me every morning with the superblast and vitamins. When it comes to prepping yourself throughout the day, you tend to eat quite a lot of food, and without those digestive enzymes, I wouldn't have a clue how my body would break that down, but luckily I had them and I believe they contributed heaps to my end result. Next up is the repair and probiotics which aided me In a great night sleep helping my body recover and clear away all the food so I can wake up fresh in the morning ready to dominate my day.
I tested myself to the limit as far as exercising goes, where I pushed myself till failure and I couldn't lift a single rep anymore. I managed to make it to the gym 5-7 days a week. It was hard most of the times because a lot of the workouts were either close to or past midnight, or very early in the morning. But when it means something to you, you'll make it happen, otherwise you'll keep making excuses. And when you are chasing a dream, their are no excuses. So i continued to work at it.
The impact this challenge made on my life, really showed me when your chasing something great and your working so hard for it, the universe is going to test you. Bricks will be thrown at you, life will knock you, and when it did, I got back up and kept going because the advantage I had, the push I had, was I didn't want to go back to pain I dealt with before all of this, I wanted to chase something great and through the actions I take, help my training partner be the best she could be, aswell as every person out there be the absolute best they can be. That's what drives me and that's why I love doing what I do.
