At one point in a person's life, one has an experience that changes his or her life forever, and the 8-week challenge did exactly that. I have now decided to compete in the World's Fitness and Bodybuilding Show in October in New York City, in the bikini division. I have discovered a burning passion for fitness and nutrition. I will continue to challenge myself with this 8 week challenge until I look as shredded as Bella Falconi. This means I have 6 months to get super sexy and shredded, but I am confident that I will get my body to where it needs to be thanks to Yor Health's supplementation system and the challenge.
There were days were I just felt so down. I would have long days at work and school and come home sick and tired... But I kept going. Even on my worst days, I would have something to be happy about, and that was my body. I finally don't have to suck my belly in when taking pictures with friends. And although I am far from where I want to be, at least I have started this journey. After being bullied as a young child, always being told I was ugly, would get nowhere in life, and no one would love me, at 16 years old I fell into the world of anorexia. I hated myself, my body, my mind... This 8-week challenge has allowed me to finally see myself in the mirror without hating myself, but to instead love and appreciate every single bit of me. Each and every day I get a little more patience and discipline, which skills I lacked profoundly. I wish there were words to describe the emotions that are going through me. For once in my life, I have committed and completed something, and it's still going!
This challenge has become a part of my life.. Each day, I have my Probiotics and Super Greens in the morning. Throughout my day, I take 4 Essential Vitamins, and 2-3 MRPs, along with 2-4 meals depending on how long my day is. I exercised 3-4 times on a good week while I was in the challenge. Although, for three out of my eight weeks, I wasn't able to workout at all due to a minor injury, I was able to maintain by taking my Yor supplements, drinking 60+oz of water a day, and eating clean (lean meats, fruits, and vegetables).
This challenge has been a life changing experience for me. I am now going for my personal training and health coaching certifications. I am determined to help others get to their dream bodies as I strive to achieve mine... I am happy to say that this 8-week challenge has been the turning point of my life, and the rebirth of Leslie Taveras-Torres.
