For most of my life I have been overweight/obese and once upon a time I actually tipped the scales at 106kgs (237lb). I understand how hard it is to not only live unhealthy & feel unfit but how much HARDER it is to lose weight & attempt to improve your health. It took many years of various diet attempts, starvation methods and personal trainers to get my weight down to anywhere near acceptable.

Recently, in an attempt to encourage myself to keep in the gym, I started training heavy weights and competing in powerlifting competitions. I enjoy it, it's great motivation to keep me in the gym and pushing myself hard (and I love lifting heavy like the boys!) but I still wasn't happy with the way my body looked. A lot of people were telling me that since I was training heavy, weight loss couldn't be a priority anymore - powerlifters train heavy and usually weigh heavy - but I was determined to prove them wrong.
I was introduced to YOR health by a friend who had also had success on the products - not just in weight loss but in strength training and general health too. I decided that with the money back guarantee I had nothing to lose and I would try the slim set as that matched my goals.

I would start my day with a repair and my supergreen shake+fibre+berry blast, then during the day have my multivitamins, digest with my 2 largest meals and then an MRP shake in the afternoon (it's so delicious I actually used to crave it at about 3pm!...my body soon recognised what time the sweets were coming!). To finish the day I would have the probiotic and another repair.

For the first week, because of my previous lifestyle, prior poor diet and the detox effect I didn't feel fantastic, but as the weeks progressed, my energy levels dramatically increased, my skin improved, I slept better and my clothes got looser (my eyes even got greener! ha!)- and I got more excited about what was happening! I hadn't made much change to my diet or exercise routine (and I am certainly not one to turn down a cheat meal/drink - or three!). I trained 4 nights a week with one lunchtime cardio session (2x4 minute tabata sprints only) included into my training. I work 45hrs a week in the corporate world, as well as my powerlifting, so the repair assisted my recovery and helped reduce the time I would limp around the office post-leg day! haha

Because of my heavy weight training the scales weren't showing much of difference because of the muscle I was putting on but I've always kept body measurements as for me it's a more accurate reflection of fat gains and losses. In the 8 weeks I lost not only 3kgs (6.6lb) but a massive 8cms (3inches) off my waist, a further 5cms (2inches) off my hips, 2cms off my bust and an even centrimetre off my thighs and calves! I have never been this slim! (or "tiny" in size ;) haha)
It also assisted in helping me make a lower weight category for the competition that I competed in during the challenge (as the score is calculated on a power to weight ratio - it's best to be as light as possible). My previous competition I had to drop my diet in the weeks leading up to the competition by about 500cals and it was HORRENDOUS. This time though, I only dropped 200cals and I made weight without the horrible week of starvation and the "hangries" like last time!!

For the first time in MY LIFE there is a possibility that, even though I do have excess skin from the years of obesity, I may just be able to see abdominals soon! This is something that I never would have thought possible prior to undertaking the 8 week challenge!
I am not only feeling better and looking better, but I am so much more confident! So confident in fact, that I happily posted a before/after picture of myself in my underwear to show the world that it could be done! NEVER EVER WOULD I HAVE BEEN OKAY WITH THAT UNTIL NOW!

Thank you YOR health for assisting me in these massive milestones. I look forward to my next 8 week challenge and continuing my journey, not only in my powerlifting road to the Nationals next year, but in gaining better health and reaching my body transformation goals!
