My whole life was known as the "skinny guy" and a number of other names that referred to my under weight body. My goal was always to gain lean muscle, have a 6 pack and to feel “fit”. When I left high school, in 2006, I worked construction and my health steadily declined. With consistently skipping meals, my busy schedule and no sleep my body felt like it was going into total failure. To compensate for my lack in energy I would consume multiple energy drinks in a day. It wasn't until the summer of 2011 that there was a breaking point. My whole life completely changed for ever.
One summer day exhausted from the lack, I began my typical day of construction. I became dizzy and then my whole world began to spin. I could barely stand. I had to lay down. After passing out for 3 hours I tried to go back to work, but I couldn't actually DO anything. Everything hurt, every part of my body was in pain. Looking back it is hard to explain. The best way to sum it up is that I felt like I had a massively hangover and all of my senses were foggy. I was no longer the same person.
For the next 6 months I felt weak. I barely made it through my work days. Most days I would finish at my construction job and have to go right to bet at 6 pm. Only twice a week did I have enough energy to stay awake past 11 pm. However I would pay for it and end up in bed for the next three days. Most days I would sleep at least twelve hours a day. Some days it would be closer to a full twenty four hours. Not only was this unknown condition taking a toll on my sleep but the pain was unrelenting. I started to lose hope that I was ever going to get better. There where points where I was convinced that I had brain cancer or a major disorder. It was the only excuse or possible reason to why I was going through so much pain. For the next year or so my health slowly began to get better but never better than 75% to my previous health.
When the 90 day challenge was launched in October of 2012 I decided to take action to improve my health and go to the gym. I noticed with the YOR Health product line, proper exercise and diet my health was improving dramatically. I finally felt "healthy" again. So of coarse in January when the 8 week challenge was launched I was totally up for a new challenge - to be "fit". Today I am at the end of my 2nd cycle. I can finally say that I have found a way to better my health and to keep the unknown pains at bay. With the 8 Week Challenge I have gained close to 13 Lbs of muscle and have much more energy (finally)! I made a promise to myself that I will never let my health be where it was before. My goal is to each day live into better health and a more fit lifestyle.
