I decided to do this challenge after seeing a photo of myself at a friends wedding a few weeks prior. I was horrified to say the least and barely recognized myself I had gained so much weight. What frustrated me the most was that at the beginning of 2013 I was quite fit and healthy, right into working out and ate well but I had a very unhealthy addiction... I was a cigarette smoker. I was very ashamed of my habit and hid it from most people but decided one day that it was time to kick the habit. I successfully quit in March 2013 and have been smoke free ever since however I gained a huge appetite! I also had an operation in May 2013 that took aprox 9 months to recover from so working out at the gym to counteract this appetite simply did not happen and I kept reassuring myself that I still looked great.... I was in denial big time!
About 10 weeks ago a very dear friend of mine and my husbands came to visit and we signed up to yorhealth as promoters and decided to start the 8 week challenge. Our friend had introduced us to yorhealth about 18 months ago but our egos were too big and we thought we knew best.. We were wrong! Starting this challenge was the best decision we have ever made, I started at a weight of 68kg and a size 12 (I am in Australia for weight and dress size purposes) I wanted to use this first challenge as a way of changing eating habits and getting my body right from the inside out with correct nutrition before I started any gym programs. For breakfast I had a MRP shake every morning with super greens, fibre and a berry blast with two vitamin tablets. I have never had a shake keep me going as well as what this did I love it! With my lunch and dinner I would have a digest tablet and two vitamins, and before bedtime a probiotic. If I ever had a huge day and was tired in the afternoon I would have another berry blast for energy. I stopped drinking coffee within the first week which was something I did not ever see myself doing prior to the challenge but I just didn't need coffee anymore I had so much energy. A very welcome side effect also was having a solid night sleep only 1 week into my challenge. I have suffered from stress induced insomnia for such a long time that I became use to lack of sleep and assumed it was normal. I now am asleep within minutes of my head hitting the pillow, I am beyond happy about this.
I must admit I was a little skeptical at the start and did not see how talking these products could help my internal health so I did my research, looked at previous winners results and was so inspired I couldn't wait to start! I have lost just under 8 kg in weight and am comfortably wearing a size 10 again at the end of my challenge, I am learning to love what I see in the mirror again and having my two children and my husband tell me how proud of me they are and that they think I look beautiful is my ultimate inspiration. I will be commencing my second round of the 8 week challenge next week and will be using this challenge to tone my body, gain a little more muscle and lose just a few more kg so watch this space!!
Thankyou yorhealth for creating such a user friendly challenge with products that really work and thankyou to my husband Leigh, my son Elliott and daughter Maddison for supporting me on my journey I could not and would not have done it without you xx
