Wow where do I begin!

Eight weeks ago today I was introduced to a program called Yor Health by two of

my children.

Never once did I think it would affect my life the way it has. With the support and

encouragement of family and friends I was able to get of the couch and start

enjoying life again.

Two weeks into my change of lifestyle regime I was encouraged to take part

in the Yor Best Body 8 week challenge. I started my journey at 149.9 kg’s and

weighed 147.2 kg’s when I decided to join the challenge. I am very happy to say I

am finishing my first 8 week challenge weighing 140.8 kg’s.

My life had become nothing more than watching television and using my ipad.

Family get togethers consisted of me sitting and watching every one playing

games and walking along the beach. The sadness I felt when I couldn’t stand

long enough to push one of my grand children on the swing.

I gave up smoking 2 years ago and the weight just piled on. Then I found myself

visiting my Doctor every other week and there always seemed to be some new

medical problems because of my weight gain Kidneys, Liver and Diabetes just to

name a few. I also suffer with Osteo Arthritis in my knees, so the weight gain of

over 40 kg’s in two years did not help with my mobility. To add to that I developed

Sciatica and wow that is painful. My life had become nothing but feeling pain

everyday. Shopping was out of the question as I couldn’t walk for that long. Life

had become depressing.

Feeling lost and alone I sat on my couch and developed the ‘who cares attitude.

Along came Yor Health.

The first goal I set myself was getting of the couch. I started walking around my

house a couple of times each day. Then I ventured out and managed to walk

850m, gritting my teeth and wiping away tears from the crippling pain in my back,

knees and feet. My second goal was to get to 1 km in two weeks. Well how

happy was I when at the end of the two week mark I was walking just over 2 km

every day. Still feeling the pain, but I replaced the tears with music and now sing

whilst walking. Yes I do get some looks but I don’t care. I know this seems like

nothing to a lot of people, but to me this was like walking up the tallest mountain.

Next goal was more exercise so now that it is getting warmer I do half an hour of

water aerobics every day when I return from my walk.

We recently had a family gathering and I was watching everyone playing ball

and it hit me, hey I can do that, and up I got. I even took my grand daughter for

a walk on the beach with my son who is a Yor Health promoter. I started jogging

with my 2 year old grand daughter and my son said, “Wow when did you start

running Mum”. No one will ever know the feelings that overwhelmed me that day.

I smiled at my son and told him how good I felt.

I visited my Doctor the morning of the 4th

called my name I jumped up and walked straight in. The look on his face was

priceless as the last time I was there I limped and waddled my way into his office.

He gave me a high five and said he was so happy with my progress and to keep

going. I told him there was no stopping me now.

I can’t scream these words loud enough. I feel amazing and am so grateful your

products found their way into my life. Being unemployed at the moment it is a

challenge in itself to get the products I need. I buy a little every fortnight and get

all excited when my parcels arrive.

I have a long way to go but I now have a confidence I have not had in a long

time. I feel great and I look forward to many more 8 week challenges as my aim

is to get down to 100 kg the healthy way.
