8 Week Bulking Challenge: Mission Accomplished!
My goal this challenge was to gain as much size and strength as possible, while keeping my body fat at or below the starting point.
I certainly did that - gaining 3.6kgs of muscle with my body fat staying at about 9-10% on the seven site pinch test - but it took some work.
I was training 3-4 times a week, lots of squatting, pressing and pulling, doing high volume in the first 4 weeks (10x10 GVT) and then heavy work (5x5 Reg Park) in the second 4 weeks. My strength levels have gone through the roof. I managed to PR my back squat by 25kgs, my deadlift by 10kg and my bench by 10kgs also.
To keep me fuelled during the 8 Week (Bulking) Challenge I relied on the products massively. The Digestive Enzymes, Probiotics and Fibre kept my digestive system running smoothly as I was eating quite a bit of food. Supergreens and Berry Blast pre-workout is all I needed to get me up and about for a big session. And finally the YOR Shake post-workout gave me all the protein I needed to grow. The shake was also great in between meals or when I couldn't find a suitable meal while in the go. It's pretty delicious too! Haha. Mmmmmm choc mrp.....
I'm super happy with my challenge results, being the biggest and strongest I have ever been in my life. It was great having the accountability and competition to keep me motivated.
Really looking forward to my next challenge and getting shredded for summer and to show off the new rig!
