Its safe to say I finally made it, after what felt like 3 months it has been so WORTH it!
Let me start of by saying the most exciting parts since that's what your here for right..?
I have officially lost 2.1kg and Its obvious my before and after shots prove that you CAN look better/slimmer & that the scales are a headache when trying to lose weight. Go by measurements and clothes. Fat lost but replaced with muscle.
Measurements BEFORE: Hips- 104cm, Waist- 83cm, Legs- 63cm, Arms- 36cm, Chest- 100cm.
AFTER: Hips- 100cm, Waist- 77cm, Legs- 61cm, Arms-34, Chest- 95cm.
PRODUCTS & FOOD- As per the usual odd days when you may forget to take a thing or too Im very proud of my efforts to stay consistent. All meals were not always 1,2,3 it became more of a 5 - 6 small meals a day after about 4 weeks in as I found my metabolism processed food faster and felt instead more energy rather than huge insulin spikes through out the day.
Breakfast- I would start off FIRST on an empty stomach is the super greens & fiber followed by a chocolate MRP shake. Otherwise the MRP on its own or a cooked breakfast which can range from: egg whites, cooked veg etc. Other mornings if I wanted a change it would be a bowl of fruit and some weetbix always almond milk and topped with chia, flax seeds & buckwheat. I definitely discovered my LOVE for seeds throughout this challenge!
Always after breakfast I would have 2 vitamins & a probiotic.
Lunch- I would always plan to have my super slim tablet 30 - 60 mins before. My lunch ranges from a choc MRP depending on how busy I was, sushi, chicken salad, bowl of veg and rice, tuna, soups... any thing light and not going overboard a berry blast if energy was needed which was my saviour in MANY cases! The super slim really helped me to keep the weight off during my cheat days & lazy days that would occur once to twice a week, keeping my appetite supressed and eating less when the time came to eat. Instead of a clean licked plate its like my stomach told my brain that im full and its okay to leave some food left over. Always after the first bite I would have my Digest ultra which really helped me to break down cooked, or hard to process food.
Dinner- This was my most favourite time, I would make curried eggs, lean meats & salad always trying to eat food less cooked and more raw for ultimate absorption along with my digest ultra. Sometimes If I wasn't that hungry a Choc MRP would suffice and I would be naughty and have 2 just because they are so yummy!
Before bed I would have a repair ultra tablet and another vitamin.
GYM!!!!!
Well it really is true that's its much easier to lose weight with friends, I loved going to workout classes with friends, the thousand steps on a sunny day or even a quick cardio boost and some fun I would go to the indoor trampoline place and bring out my inner child. Berry blast once again is my drink of choice during exercise!
I eventually started going to gym 3 times a week and then it became such a passion that I was having so much more energy and strength I ended up going 6-7 times a week, ranging from 30 mins - 2hrs. Always doing interval training cardio, and favouring weights over all. Some lazy days I would take my dog for a walk or just clean my room and dance crazy!
An important aspect of exercise when your a person like me that HATES it, is change it up and make it fun. Honestly you'll be doing yourself a big favour.
If you have trouble with motivation for gym always remember your "WHY" why you are doing this and what your trying to achieve, even if you don't get instant gratification, stay dedicated. Don't just go to gym and eat better just cause because you may just fail all over again. A lot of times I didn't want to exercise but remembered a method that there has NEVER been a time when ive left gym feeling worse or upset that I went. Always a smile, pride and adrenaline. Now tthats a GIFT that no one else can give to you. Since its so close to Christmas im feeling the utmost happiness.
I struggled about 2 weeks in as I sprained my toe jarring it on a piece of wood I tried to jump over and had to walk on the side of my foot from so much pain but I soldiered on and walked on that treadmill anyway!
I enjoyed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as a treat after dinner because I didnt feel like smoking anymore during this whole body transformation and had less cravings for meat. I believe that eat 80% of whats good for you and 20% of what you shouldn't, Within reason of coarse and if you are wanting to that is. Compensate for everything during your day and take baby steps, don't look at it as a whole or you will make regretful mistakes. A good friend of mine told me that stress releases a cortisal hormone in your body which creates more belly fat. So did I stress less? YEP!!! and a lot more sleep. As for my bone tumour in my hip I barely feel it there its as if the muscle ive built on my body has helped support myself and the repair ultra tablets speed up my recovery time and my nails are so much stronger growing so rapidly. Sometimes I would do a super greens mask that I would make into a paste and apply to my face, it was so soft and clear after. Loved it! If your a cheery ripe fan ill tell you my secret. Choc MRP, Berry blast, Coconut shavings and 2 blocks of ice. HEAVEN!
From being 84kg in my worst shape going to gym half heartedly but losing weight slowly and feeling tired and unmotivated and starting YOR health at 74kg, then losing weight right before the Gold Coast annuals, to then starting my 8 week challenge at 71.7kg and to where I am at now is phenomenal. I was that girl that would yoyo diet and cry when I would see myself in the mirror in the shower and not want to go out with friends. I am so thankful for YOR health and embracing change into my life. When you KNOW your ready for change you will make it happen otherwise stay the same and be the one to blame. The mindset and energy of the team as well as 8 week challenge freedom to achieve what you please is great because its all YOU!
Its true, when you fail many times you get back up an conquer!
Goodluck :)
