My name is Alexandra and I’m 27 years old. I started the YOR health challenge thanks to my amazing friend Brittni Giles! Upon my return from a 7 week trip visiting family, which included loads of travelling, during which it was hard to control and regulate what and when I ate, and did not include that much exercise, I was definitely not impressed with myself physically or mentally...I felt run down, sluggish, lacking energy, getting back into my exercise routine wasn’t easy, and I had a hard time sticking to my clean eating. That’s when Brit introduced me to YOR Health products!
The products I used definitely helped and I saw some improvements, but not as much as I wanted to, and the reason mainly was that I still wasn’t sticking to a schedule and not eating as well as I should. I needed a goal and the YOR Best Body 8-Week Challenge was a perfect goal to set!
At the beginning of the challenge I’ve already been using YOR Health products for about 8 weeks and weighed 53kg. I start my day with an intensive workout at 6am (and even though waking up is always tough for me, I love how amazing I feel when I’m done! ;)) Within 15-30 minutes after training I have an awesome YOR health shake consisting of YOR Super Greens (1 spoon), YOR Fiber (1.5 spoon), YOR Shake Vanilla/Chocolate Super shake (1.5) mixed together to boost my energy levels and help my muscles get the nutrients they need to recover faster and grow.
During the day, anytime I have a cooked meal I would take a YOR Digest Ultra at the start which helped me break down my meals, absorb as many nutrients from it as my body could and prevented me from feeling bloated after. I also took 2 YOR Essential Vitamins every day with my lunch to get any extra vitamins and minerals my body needed. And in the last couple of weeks I’ve started taking YOR Super Slim about 30min-1hour before my meals to get my metabolism going and help me feel fuller for longer.
Just before going to sleep, I take one YOR Probiotics Ultra and two YOR Repair Ultra to improve my gut health and help my muscles recover faster and not be as sore, so I can function throughout the days to follow ;)
Throughout the challenge, besides training and using the products religiously ;), I ate as clean as I could but I would treat myself if I really wanted to. Thanks to the challenge that was not that often, because I was committed to achieving results! I found that being a part of this challenge definitely helped me stick to consistently eating well more than I usually would and get out of bed even on the ugly rainy days when training outside looked miserable. I have never regretted a training session! ;) I train 3-5 times a week, mixing up intense weight training sessions, with boxing, yoga, acroyoga, and dance throughout. My final weight is 51.7kg and even though I lost weight when I was planning to gain some (in muscle of course), I can clearly see that I still gained quite a bit of muscle weight. I guess I just had more body fat to loose than I thought, and more muscle to gain in the future!
After seeing the results I achieved in just 8 weeks, I feel very excited about what’s to come! I have changed my body not just physically from the outside, but also from the inside, improved mentally and boosted my metabolism and gut health!!! Besides my body looking more toned than it has ever been before, I feel healthier, more energized, and definitely happier as well! I am looking forward to the next challenge, as there’s always room for improvement!
