I just completed my first cycle of Yor Health’s 8-week challenge. I began the challenge at 258 lbs, and am happy to say that today I weigh 241 lbs. I am down 9 inches cumulative. I started off the first few weeks of the challenge with supplementing 1-2 meals a day with a Yor MRP Meal Replacement shake. If having it during dinner hours, I would be sure to blend it with fruit or vegetables for added nutrients. I also started Yor CompleteBurn and Yor UltraDigest, working up to taking both of them 3 times a day. As the challenge progressed, I recently began taking Yor FiberPlus (one scoop a day mixed in drinks or meals) and Yor Probiotics (once after I awake).

My weight has been a battle for me my entire life. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that my doctor finally gave me an answer. She diagnosed me with binge eating disorder. Through this recognition, along with therapy, I quickly learned how my emotions and daily routines played an enormous role in my binging, and therefore my weight. My doctor had tried me on a medication to assist in my over compulsiveness, and teaching strategies to overcome my binges. When I would apply such changes, I was only ever able to remain dedicated for short periods until my emotions overcame me again.

When I stepped on the scale a few months ago, I saw a number that I could not fathom. I hit 260 lbs. I decided it was time for change. I quickly made a consultation to do it the easy way. I had an appointment to seek information about weight loss surgery. Yet, as I waited for my appointment I realized that even if I woke up tomorrow skinny, my habits would remain the same.

I reached out to a friend who continuously posted motivational and inspirational words on her social networks. She was involved in YorHealth. How motivated she was about this program made me decide it was worth a try. Boy was I happy I gave it a try prior to following through on any surgeries. The first day into my challenge I knew this was my answer. Right away, a community of open arms reached out to me and brought me under their wings. In time, I noticed this is what I was always missing in all of my other attempts to get healthy. Support. Motivation. Partners. I love how I am feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally. I feel great. Of all of my results, I feel I have conquered my emotions the most; from being able to take control of my emotions, to my self-esteem, to my self-dependence for happiness.

My first cycle in this 8-week challenge has been a training course for me. Over the past 8 weeks I have acquired knowledge and networked with motivational individuals that have assisted me along the way. I have re-learned proper eating habits and necessary nutritional needs. I finally have taken the right steps with the right people to turn my life around. I have been able to eat clean, control my emotional binge eating, and lose weight. It took me until this challenge to come to terms with the truth about my weight. I was always got discourage during diets and other weight loss methods because I did not see results. For this challenge I set my goal to a more realistic number (19 lbs) and took my journey day by day. It took me over 20 years to reach this point; I could not change it overnight. Now that I am feeling better about myself, I am able to look at the world positively with smiling eyes. Now that I am on the right track, and ready for success, I have committed myself to a lifelong lifestyle change. My challenge does not stop here.

I am re-adjusting and setting new goals for cycle #2. Along with inch and weight goals, this next cycle I am going to set more concentrated goals that will help to learn new healthy habits; for example, completing a minimum number of workouts per week.

I have truly enjoyed the past 8 weeks. With my new friends and new lifestyle I have been able to make this journey fun, and recommend this program to anyone who is looking to not only get fit and healthy, but ready to conquer their negative emotions and meet great, inspirational people.
