When I was first introduced to YOR Health I was not keen on the products. I have never used supplements and didn't see a need. It wasn't until I looked into the mirror when I saw a stranger starting right back at me that I decided I should give them a shot, plus I would be helping my cousin out by being his customer.
Since the age of 16 I stopped all forms of physical exercise due to a football injury. I got an office job and my life style flipped 180 degrees. Eating junk food was normal, fizzy drinks replaced my water and i just became unfit and lazy.
At the start of 2014 I began to suffer from mental illnesses and it just got worse, which in turn reflected to my appearance. It wasn't until i saw the benefits of the YOR Health Products I started to see a change.
First I was taking the YOR Supergreens with the Yor BerryBlasts every morning for a week and what I noticed more was I was able to do more around the house. I felt better, full of energy and motivated. The best part was that depressive voice in my head stopped. After doing more research on the products and how they helped the body I decided to do something that I never would have done before. I signed up to the 8 week challenge sculpt set to get fit.
The first 4 weeks of the 8 week challenge were amazing. I really saw results. I started every morning with YOR Supergreens, YOR Firbe and 2 multivitamins. Then 5 minutes after breakfast I would take a Digest Ultra. I would wait for the motivation to kick in from cleansing out my body each morning then I would take a YOR Berryblast to give me a real kick of energy before I hit the gym. I would train between 1 to 2 hours each day listening to motivational music. My head was clear of thoughts except one goal. I am going look great when I am done. Once I finished the gym I would take a Yor Shake then go have lunch. After lunch it was another Digest Ultra and a Repair Ultra and for dinner I would eat something nice, no junk food or fizzy drinks. Then I would finish off the day with a nice walk around the block. Before bed I would take another Repair Ultra, Muti-Vitamins and a Probiotic Ultra.
My first day in the gym was pretty hard for someone that hasn't trained, let alone ran in over 6 years. I made sure I pushed myself to set some targets to improve on throughout my 8 week challenge. I tested out how well I could exercises and what were my limits.
2k run on treadmill: 15min 30sec
Burn 100 Cal on cross trainer: 14min
1000m on the rowing machine: 7min
Bench Press: 35kg
Plank: 30sec
Non-stop push ups: 8 reps
After the first 2 weeks I noticed I had dropped just over 2kg and could see my belly disappearing. I feel a real boost of energy and motivation. I wanted to do more things, go out for walks and explore the environment. I also attended boot camps once a week with the Adelaide YOR Health team.
At around week 6 of the 8 week challenge i decided to test out the 2km run again, surprisingly I smashed it. Not only did I take nearly 6 min of my personal best, I decided to keep running smashing out 4km in 20 min. I set a new PB for bench press hitting 50KG and doubled my push ups before stopping. My mental illness seemed to be nothing of existence and i had created an all new me.
Sadly week 7 was the hardest for me, a lot harder than what Christmas was and the New Year. Not because of the temptations of food but things out of my control. My depression really took control of me. I had no motivation to get out of bed and only managed to fit 1 training session in for 30 min before giving up and going home. I did binge a little on sweets and drinks, however no fast food was consumed. I didn't take my daily YOR Supergreens or anything else. A dark room was where I felt secure and safe.
If i didn't have an amazing support from the team in Adelaide i don't think I would have been able to finish off the 8 week challenge. I worked real hard for 6 weeks and then felt like that was it. My mind gave up but not my friends, they kicked me back into gear. At the start of the 8th week I took my YOR Supergreens, BerryBlast, Fibre and multi-vitamins and hit the gym and had more PT sessions with a good friend and mentor for YOR Health. He pushed me hard, to the point I was dripping in sweat and nearly vomiting. It was a good feeling.
I made sure the last week I did more than the previous 7 weeks of the challenge. I managed to make more PB’s and felt amazing. I retested myself on what I could do and the results were more than satisfying for me.
2k run on treadmill: 9min
Burn 100 Cal on cross trainer: 8min 30 sec
1000m on the rowing machine: 3min 50sec
Bench Press: 55kg
Plank: 1 min 30sec
Non-stop push ups: 25 reps
From day 1 of the challenge to now I would have never though it would be possible to do what I did. I battled past my mental illnesses, self-doubt and others negativity and came out looking like I did back in high school. I lost a few kilos but put it back on with muscle mass, something I have never experienced in my life. My belly fat vanished and my fitness levels increased dramatically. The YOR Health product range really has helped. This stuff works and I am thankful for all the support from friends and family that has helped me along this journey. It is only the beginning of things to come and the first of many 8 week challenges I will be in. Next one I will push my-self to be better than what I am today
