Hi, I'm Simone. When I began my first challenge I was 74.5kg. (Which I didn't submit properly ??) According to my BMI, I was just slightly in the overweight category, but I was certainly very body conscious and admittedly, quite down in the dumps about my extra 5 kgs... Despite the fact that I ate relatively healthily and enjoyed working out semi-regularly. I thought 'yeah I'm ok - not a supermodel but I'm just ok'. Looking back now- just ok should never have been good enough for my own standards.
When I was finally persuaded to begin my 1st Yor Health 8 week challenge, I was sceptical. I've never been into fad diets or meal replacements and I've always been adamant that it's about the lifestyle that you lead, and it's never a quick fix...however, I gave it a shot because it just so happened that Christmas was 8 weeks away... Perfect right? Christmas means Summer, the heat becomes almost unbearable and everyone flocks to the beach and pools. I didn't want to be the fattish one in bikinis yet again!
But I soon discovered Yor Health is different. It's not a fad diet, it's not a quick fix and it certainly works in conjunction with a healthy and active lifestyle. When my products arrived I cleaned up my act and fell in love with what the products could do in conjunction with a clean diet and active lifestyle.
I began my days by drinking about a litre of water first thing, a probiotic and repair ultra, as well as a green smoothie or a delicious choc yor health shake. Once I got to work, I always made myself a 1.5L berry blast to replace my coffee. I felt great come lunch time, not sluggish and fresh and healthy. I popped a digestive enzyme with my daily lunch and snacked on some nuts or fruit throughout the day.
I truly believe that without these enzymes, I would not have achieved such results. At the end of challenge 1, I weighed in at 68kg, so I had lost 6.5kgs! I could not believe it! I never thought I would crack the 60's!!! I mostly followed exactly the same daily patterns in challenge 2 and went from ..... To .....kg, losing .....kgs. (Not as much, as it was holiday time and I'm only human).
I used to be so critical on myself and made myself feel such guilt after indulging but with these products, my whole mindset has changed! I admit, I was not an angel throughout both of these challenges. I had slip ups (particularly during the December period) but I have come to realise that it's ok to slip up occasionally, as long as you nourish your body most of the time, and don't let it turn into a downward spiral of bad eating habits, then you can be healthier and happier- body and mind! These products (particularly the digestive enzymes) enabled me to get the most nutrition out if every meal possible! I even found that I became less hungry and was more able to say 'no thanks I'm not hungry or I don't need or want it'. (Perhaps that was the successes of my mind) The berry blast was also a fave of mine, as it was a cool, healthy alternative to boring water, or chemical infused instant coffee! I just love the berry blast!!
Throughout these challenges, as people started to notice, they'd ask 'have you been running like crazy or slogging it out at the gym?' When I had tried other challenges, my answer waS usually yes- but in this case, I had NOT! Don't get me wrong, I was fairly active by running/doing some strength training and hand weights about 3 times a week and my job keeps me on my feet, but I certainly was not slogging myself!
I was inspired and motivated to continue as the weight dropped off and people noticed. My clothes fit a bit looser and I could fit into old clothes I hadn't worn in years! The feeling was and is great!
I could never understand why I would eat relatively healthy and exercise semi- regularly but could never shift those 5 kgs!!! But this is where the digestive enzymes and probiotics were obviously a critical part of my weight loss journey!!! I am beginning to wonder how I would ever live without them!
I am so thankful that I was introduced to Yor Health. While it has helped me to transform my body into a slimmer, healthier version, it has also been a crucial element in my ability to develop a positive mindset. I, personally, consider progress as the biggest motivator & with Yor Health, I have achieved goals that I never thought possible. I always thought I'd be in the 70's (kg) forever and I was ok with that... To think that I was content with that, after I have achieved so much is ludicrous! Yor Health has helped me strive for BETTER! Who knows, perhaps I will be inspired to do a 'sculpt' challenge next time?! Yor Health has certainly had a positive impact on my physical health and my emotional and self satisfaction and I can't wait to set and achieve new goals with Yor Health in the upcoming year!
