I have never changed my diet or done any form of regular exercise in my life. My friends call me the dessert queen. So this challenge was a big challenge for me in terms of mental discipline. I had a lot of support from the YOR health team and my husband which sought me through the rough times. I managed to shed 2kg from my size 10 frame and I feel great. My work pants are so loose around the waist that I had to drop to size 8 and I feel confident wearing my bikini for the first time ever!
The last 8 weeks have been a learning journey to understand my body, especially my digestive system. I learnt how this problem area of my body responded to being cared for and nourished with nutrient rich supplements and a healthy diet. I haven’t had an episode of cramps after a meal like I used to which is amazing. My bowel movements have become regular and finally feel normal.
I used the YOR shake vanilla with frozen berries and oats as a breakfast smoothie on the go. For morning tea, I also had fruit salad and yoghurt sprinkled with a scoop of YOR Fibre to boost my fibre intake and help to eliminate fats and keep me fuller for longer. At work I enjoyed a supergreens drink with a YOR berry blast to get an antioxidant hit, lift me through those energy slumps or to pump me full of energy before a work out. For lunch and dinner I always made sure to have veges, brown rice and a palm size amount of protein like lean chicken, turkey or beef.
With my diet I still had cheat days on the weekend and enjoyed a treat once or twice during the week. Whenever I ate something outside of my healthy diet I also made sure I took a Digest Ultra 1 capsule with my meal to help eliminate toxins and help to break down any fat in the meal.
I worked out with 2-3 times per week mostly training with free weights, deadlifts, squats and stairmaster. I always had a YOR shake post workout and a tablet of YOR repair to speed my muscle recovery.
One thing that stood out for me was that I have so much energy I often find myself going to bed at 11pm or later so I have to remind myself what time it is so I would get to bed. I am finally getting things done that I was always too tired to do or kept procrastinating. For the first time in my life I have definition in my abdomen and am starting to see my 6 pack rise to the surface! Its so exciting and it motivates me to keep going.
