As a competitive triathlete, the challenge for me was more about performance than weight. However I did want to lose a couple of kilos to get down to my ideal 'race weight' and feel confident and fit going into my priority races for the season. With this in mind I used the whole range of products and still do. I love a big mrp smoothie for lunch and the supergreens/berry blast combo to pick me up before and after hard training sessions. I used these daily to enhance my energy levels, recovery and performance in training. Throughout this time I was training for a half ironman event which is 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run so I was doing around 20 hours of training per week and also working as a PT. I found I leaned up quickly when I committed to taking all the supplements properly and I didn't lose any muscle tone or strength even though I lost about 5kg and was doing alot of long duration cardio training. I got down to 7% body fat and found I had plenty of energy to train hard and recover, this was evident in recent races I have done. I had age group wins at the Hell of the West (QLD long course state champs), Kingscliff Olympic distance tri and Challenge Wanaka half ironman event in NZ (3rd overall female). I am overall a more confident athlete because of this and believe I can continue to push myself to the next level.
