Well to be honest, I was one of the sceptical ones. I ummed and ahed for a while over buying YOR Health products. Already having been an enthusiast of the health and fitness industry - I just didn't believe in using "pills and powders", I always thought of them as a "quick fix", and that wasn't my aim.. my aim was to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle, and feel comfortable in my own skin for as long as I could; and at this point I didn't think using these particular products would help me achieve my goals.
However, I WAS WRONG! I finally decided to give it ago. I wanted something to help me lose those last dreaded kilos that never wanted to part with me (as hard as I did try). I wanted to look lean enough to make my muscles look more defined and be able to feel confident in a bikini, because let's face it.. Summer bodies are made in the winter!!
With the help and support from my personal trainer, who I trained with once a week to keep me on top of my diet and remind me of why I was doing this, I was able to achieve exactly that! On every other day I trained by myself. My sessions consisted of moderate to heavy weight training followed by 20 minutes of sprint intervals.
The three main products I used religiously throughout the 8 weeks were the Berry Blast caffeinated sticks, MR shake and the muscle repair ultra. I consumed 1 Berry Blast stick every morning before a workout- it gave me the energy and power to get through my sessions, making me feel accomplished after each workout. And I also replaced one of my meals a day with the MR shake - I cannot forget to mention the taste- I've never tasted a shake so delicious and satisfying. I didn't want to feel like I was depriving myself of food and to be left feeling hungry - These shakes did the complete opposite ! They kept me feeling fuller longer and kept those cravings at ease.
Before bed each night I would also take a repair ultra, to recover after my hard sessions in the gym. They prevented me from feeling sore and lethargic the next day, ready to power through my next work out at my maximum ability.
This journey was, physically and mentally challenging for me but I wouldn't take it back for the world! I've lost 2kgs and approximately 10% body fat. I loved every minute of the experience and thank YOR health for helping me get there!! Bring on the next challenge !!!
