I am so excited to be able to jump back into a YOR Best body challenge and now even more excitedly jump back into a pair of pre pregnancy jeans!!
Hello, my name is Kat. I am a new Mum to a gorgeous little 5 month old boy Oliver.
When Oliver was 1.5 months old I was given the OK by the doctors to start back into some light exercise.
I eagerly sprung straight into Yoga and walking action, preparing for 3 months post birth when I would begin my first YOR best body challenge post baby.
My goal was to regain some of the strength I had lost during the pregnancy do to exercise restrictions AND of course most importantly loose those extra pregnancy kilos still hanging about.
I am very lucky my partner (Oliver's Dad) is a small group gym instructor. Three times a week in our backyard he would set up a home HIIT workout circuit for me.
Around these home based HIIT workouts I joined a Mums and bubs walking group and a Mums and bubs Yoga. Great places to meet new and like minded Mums.
I am wrapped to share I lost the extra kilo's (and 500grams more) I was hoping to loose and dropped my body fat percentage by almost 4%!!
I fit into my pre pregnancy clothes which is an amazing feeling - especially considering my Mum used to tell me as a kid "you wait till you have a baby Katrina, you will never be the same"
As for my diet I have become a meat minimalist and enjoy a diet high in veggies and raw foods.
On the days I am with family or friends and the heavier cooked meals or meat dishes turn up on the plate in front of YOR Digest ultra x1 is my best buddy. I take this half way through my meal with 1/2 a glass of water.
In the mornings I have my ritual YOR super shake. Such a treat! Sometimes it takes me 2 stages to make this around a crying baby. No worries, because the kick back I get from this shaker of goodness is worth it's weight in gold.
I mix 400mls of water with 5 grams of chia seeds (soaked overnight), 50 grams of organic rolled oats, 1 scoop of supergreens, 1 heaped spoon of Chocolate or Vanilla MRP, (I alternate to spice things up) 1 x banana in my bullet blender and whizz it all up to a luscious frothy green breaky beverage.
When my chocolate craving and mid afternoon and i find myself staring in the fridge I shake up 2 scoops of chocolate MRP with 50% water and 50% almond milk and a dash of cinnamon YUM.
Twice a week I treat myself to a half packet of berry blast, 2 scoops of vanilla MRP with 50% water and 50% almond milk or rice milk if i'm having a super sweet tooth craving.
In the evenings just before bed I take 1 x YOR probiotic and 2 x YOR ultra repair. I keep my bottle of YOR ultra repair next to my bed incase I forget to grab a probiotic from the kitchen fridge before jumping into bed.
On the rare occasion I get into bed and see my YOR repair ultra knowing I have forgotten to take my probiotic I'll crawl out of bed back to the kitchen to have one.
Since the age of 11 I have suffered with IBS trying many brands of probiotics. I truly believe our YOR health probiotics are the champagne of probiotics and worth getting out of bed for EVERY TIME!
I hope for all the post or soon to be post Mumma's out there my story speaks to your "pre pregnancy jeans dreams"
