Well my 8 week challenge is finally completed and I am very proud of what I have been able to achieve. I started this challenge weighing 68.6 kilos and ended weighing 61.4 kilos which is a total weight loss of 7.2 kilos. This is only the second time I have actually completed and finished a challenge properly and it has definitely changed my life.
The first and most important thing this challenge has done for me, is that I quit smoking the day I signed up and haven't looked back since. To this day it's been exactly 8 weeks ago I had my last cigarette and we all know the benefits that this will have on my overall health and life. I have attempted many times in the past to quit but failed over and over again. But I feel that I really wanted to do this challenge properly and it kept me accountable. It was the platform i needed for me to do this properly and I really believe I have won and will never go back. This achievement in itself is enough for me to be very happy, but I have also lost an additional 7 kilos and toned up.
I joined the sculpt category because I felt that over the colder months weight had crept back on and I just didn't feel comfortable in my own body. I set a goal for myself to feel good again just in time for the warmer weather and my trip overseas. I didn't quite reach my goal of losing 10 kilos but I believe the 7 kilos I have lost has made a big difference in how I feel about myself.
I'm a lot more confident now and believe in myself. I committed to 8 weeks and I did it. There were many set backs along the way but this time I didn't let them take me over and let the excuses creep in. From the start I said to myself things won't be perfect but I need to push through and give it my best shot in which I believe I did. There were many celebrations during the 8 weeks and I even caught a bad stomach bug for about 2 weeks. In saying this I know a lot of other people who had the bug and for a whole lot longer than myself. I believe I recovered quicker because I had the help of these supplements. Even when I was sick I continued to supplement and exercise every day and eat an ok diet.
The supplements I used throughout the challenge were Super Slim, Berry Blast, Supergreens, Repair and Fibre. I know how great the YOR Health supplement range is. I believe the products have really helped me improve my overall health. I use to suffer from very intense migraines and since I started taking these supplements I very rarely get one anymore. My favourite supplement is the Supergreens. I believe I just work and function a lot better on it. My mental clarity is what I notice to be the big difference along with my increased energy levels. I had 1 scoop of Supergreens in my morning shake every day during the whole challenge. I also believe the Super Slim helped me maintain my appetite throughout the challenge. I took the Slim twice a day; half an hour before lunch and then half an hour before dinner. The Repair is also a fantastic product and you can really feel it working. I had 1 Repair each night before bed. I exercised 5 days a week for just over an hour and on the weekends would go for long walks. I ran out of the repair my last week in the challenge and could feel the muscle soreness, this just goes to show how well it works.
I want to thank YOR Health for giving me this opportunity to complete a challenge, I know it has changed my life for the better. I feel healthier, I'm more confident and I'm inspired to take myself to the next level when I get back from my trip and yes the supplements will be coming with me! I also hope to inspire others who want to maybe get a bit healthier.
