This is the 2nd time I've entered the 8 week challenge and the 5th year I'm entering the Yor Best Body Challenge (09'-13'). My mid term goal is to hit my target weight of 165lb of lean muscle and to keep healthy habits for my entire life. I am very happy that there is a platform like Yor Best Body for guiding me along the way and rewarding me for doing something I am suppose to do :)
What has changed since the last challenge was my commitment to eating healthier along with taking the products. I eat 5 meals a day, 2 of those meals being a Yor Health Super Shake. Because I eat 5 meals a day I am no longer bloated, stuffed, tired, or groggy, although I am hungry all the time! The result was me gaining 1lb during this entire challenge. I missed my target of gaining 6lbs, BUT I am quite happy with my results. I've leaned down substantially, lost my belly fat, and still gained 1lb of muscle.
For those seeking to gain 10, 20, 30lbs of muscle, I recommend doing it the YorHealth way. When I first started my YorHealth journey in 2009, I gained 14lbs, from 134-148. In 2012 I gained 7lbs from 148-155. A total of 21 lbs gained in 3yrs. Keep in mind I am not a body builder. I attempt to go to the gym 3x a week, but am constantly traveling, so you can imagine the inconsistencies. Yet by simply hitting my caloric goal with the MRP I was able to gain weight. Although it wasn't muscle, I was able to gain healthy weight.
To gain weight it's simple, intake an extra 3500 calories a week over your regular weekly calorie burn rate and you'll gain. Be sure to make up for the calories you burn from working out. For a "hard-gainer" type like me, 3500calories/day should suffice. If you don't work out, the daily calorie goal will be a lot lower. Simply google for "daily calorie" and you'll find your daily burn rate.
YorHealth products feeds your body with nutrients daily required for muscle growth and at the same time repairs all the damage that comes with muscle building. Mass building or muscle building can cause a lot of harm to your body if you do not understand the body and nutrition. Both of which I had no idea of until I was educated by other community members here in YorHealth.
Essentially for mass builders or gainers, you are pumping your system with extra calories, extra carbs, extra fats, extra cholesterol, extra proteins etc.... to gain mass. Then if you want that extra weight to look like muscles, you are lifting a lot and very heavy to tear your muscles so that they can grow back bigger.
So here is how the YorHealth products helps if you take it DAILY like how I take it:
-Digestive Ultra, Fiber Plus, and Probiotics Ultra helps me to absorb nutrition and eliminate waste from all the food I was eating to gain weight, which if not eliminated from my system could turn to toxic waste. Most people understand intake of food, but not many understand outtake which is very important for a healthy body.
-Repair Ultra which helps teared muscles to recover, to prevent discomfort and future wear & tear.
-MRP which is a great daily pre and post workout drink.
What I have not seen anywhere else is such a comprehensive "nutrition delivery system". The personal touch of YorHealth is priceless. It takes a good environment to really support long term growth. And I found a lot of answers to mass and muscle gain questions I've had within the YorHealth community whether it be chatting on facebook, talking in person, or seeing other's examples & stories on the Yor Best Body Site.
Learning what I've had from the community, I understand now how to gain healthy and steady weight to reach my goal of 165lb. I can't wait for my 3rd 8 week challenge to start. Follow me on my journey to 165lbs, 17lbs to go!
