Hi, my name is Simon Burton. I am 33 years old and I am very happy to say that I have completed my 2nd 8-week challenge.
I have been taking the Yor Health Product range now for a little over three and a half years, and I honestly couldn’t imagine my life without them, The Go green pack has been a must for me ever since being introduced to it in 2013. I no longer have any signs of indigestion or reflux but I feel amazing and have gotten so much more out of life since.
I competed in my first 8, week challenge during the Christmas period of 2013/2014. I did quite well placing 3rd in the challenge and found the challenge to be one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
In the time since my first challenge, I have remained focused on my health as much as possible trying wherever I can to make the right decisions around diet and exercise.
However, 2016 has not been the case so much. I began the year with travel and holidays which led to a lot of bad eating, bad habits and along with that came very little motivation to exercise.
The yor health product range has definitely helped me get through this year to date, as for the most part I have struggled to find my feet. However, what really prompted me to commit to a challenge was coming to the realisation that so many of my friends and family were dealing with health problems and health scares on a regular basis, including my beautiful mother (who lives with me) who come home one day and told me she has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
This not only scared myself and my mother terribly, but also got me thinking. Not only am I not being the best me that I can be, I am also not being the best example to my friends and family.
I decided I was going to focus on being the best me that I can be and dedicate myself to that cause and I knew the Yor Health Best Body 8 Week Challenge was the best place for me to start.
I enrolled in the challenge and can honestly say again that it is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
I began the challenge with a hyper-focus, and determination however there was definitely some hurdles along the way,
The first 21 days were amazing for me, I increased my usual daily intake of Yor supplements and was really cautious of my food intake (eating only live foods, chicken fish fruit and vegetables)
As a result, I found myself not only sleeping better but having an energy and vitality about me that made it extremely easy for me to train every-day.
My Product regime was as follows:
Upon Waking:
• Yor Berry Blast, Yor Super Greens, Yor Fibre Plus, mixed with water, Combined with 2x Yor essential vitamins.
This combination gives my daily intake of fruit, vegetables, minerals vitamins and nourishment I need to thrive through the day, which makes me feel amazing but also cleanses my body while giving me a boost of energy to make sure I am getting the most out of my day.
• After a healthy breakfast I would have a glass of water with 2 drops of Bare Organic Lemon essential oil, to detoxify the body and alkalize my body
• combination of either bare organic peppermint essential oil, or bare organic boost blend essential oils, used aromatically and topically for focus and a boost of mental awareness before walking out the door
Lunch:
• Yor Digest ultra, this is one of my favourite products and has helped me so much. I take this to aid in the absorption of nourishment from the food I am eating by helping me break it down and absorb faster this eliminated the food coma feeling which keeps me energised and on my feet throughout the day.
• 2x Yor Vitamins, more vitamins and minerals which I find are essential to my day.
Before the Gym:
• Yor Berry Blast, 2 x yor repair. This is an amazing energy boost for me leading into a work out. It helps me stay extremely focused and to push myself for maximum results. A work out is definitely not the same without my berry blast.
After the Gym:
• Yor Mrp + Yor Super Greens + 2 x Yor Repair. I love this after exercise, it tastes so good that I find myself craving it. But it is so good for me, the combination completely speeds the recovery process up and gets me back in the gym sooner while alkalizing my body and makes me feel great.
Before Bed:
• Yor Probiotic + 2 x Yor Repair, the probiotics is another product that is on my, cannot live without list, I sleep better, repair better. And my gut health and digestion has never ever been better. Everybody needs to taking Yor Probiotics.
• Bare oils Organic lavender + Bare oils Organic Sweet dreams blend in a diffuser helps me sleep so well, I find myself sleeping un-interrupted and in deep sleep for the whole night, waking up and feeling refreshed.
On day 21 I took some progress shots and surprised myself by the results, this give me added motivation to push even harder as I could see the drastic change and it felt good. As I mentioned earlier though and by week 5 whilst in the gym I injured myself with a slight tear to my calf muscle and was devastated,
Having had this sort of injury before the thought of having weeks off due to injury was not something I was prepared to deal with so I decided to turn to Bare oils for an answer.
I made a blend of
Organic peppermint
Organic Cinnamon bark
Organic Rosemary
Organic fractionated Coconut Oil
And applied this blend to the calf muscle several times a day for two days, and to my amazement after 2 days of applying the oil the pain had subsided and the swelling had gone down.
day 3 after the injury and applying the oils I was back very lightly jogging on the treadmill and by day 6 of applying the oils I was back to skipping jogging and sprinting as if I never had the injury at all… Thank god for Bare Oils.
This brought me to week 6 and it was game on again.
I was able to maintain my work ethic and dedication for the last 2 weeks staying dedicated to my diet my exercise and of course my supplement regime, on average I trained, approx. 1 to 2 hours a day and trained 6 /7 days of week. Making the most of outdoor activities and getting amongst nature as much as possible as well.
I am so blessed to have been introduced to Yor health and the 8-week challenge, I am so happy with my results, the lessons I have learned along the way and the mindset and habits I have developed which I will continue for the rest of my life. I not only feel I am well on the way to being the best me that I can be health wise, but so many other aspects of my life have improved over the last 8 weeks as well, I feel great about the example and legacy I am setting for my friends and family, I truly am grateful and very happy.
I believe one of the most rewarding elements of this challenge, for me has been being able to complete the challenge with my beautiful mum, Glenys Burton. She has been amazing through this challenge, as I mentioned earlier after receiving a health scare that really scared as both we decided it was time to do something about it.
My beautiful mum started on the challenge the same day I did, she has done extremely well, not only has she lost 7.8 kilograms in the last 8 weeks she has also managed to bring her blood sugar levels down to manageable levels and what seemed so scary 8 weeks ago may very well be something that is none existent in weeks to come.
My mum is 59 years old and I am so proud of her. (she is also in this challenge group Glenys Burton is her name please give her your vote)
