After failing to complete my previous cycle I am super excited about finishing this one! Not only did I prove to myself and others that with a busy lifestyle you can still find ways to be healthy and fit! With the #8weekchallenge of course!
At the beginning I was just barely weighing over 160lbs and now I'm 169 with a good looking layer of muscle! With this challenge I've been able to reach a weight I've never been before, gaining weight was always always always a huge battle for me. In this cycle with the help of a few friends I learned what it really takes to go up in weight and build muscle.
The first week I wasn't doing any heavy lifting and I was in te gym 5/7 days. Okay that's consistent...the second week a friend of mine who is also in the challenge showed me an article of a man who gained 23lbs of muscle in 90 days and only went to the gym TWICE a week! That's an awesome story. He did it by eating tons of food (healthy and high protein) number 1, and two by working out with Occums Protocol. A method for really dragged out heavy lifting reps. After reading the article I was super motivated to do this. And so I began to use occums protocol as my workouts. Although I did an average of 3-4 times in the gym a week, rarely just 2 times a week.
The products I used were of course the YOR Shake, and Digest Ultra. 1 shake after everyworkout, 1 shake with breakfast, and/or 1 shake before bed. Enzymes and YOR essential vitamins with EVERY meal, When you begin to eat that much food trust me you're going to need the enzymes!!
I had a Probiotic capsule every night, And repair when I was in the gym a lot and recovering from soreness. On my 5th week I injured my shoulder trying to lift heavier dumbells. I started taking Repair ultra every 5-6 hours for two days and my shoulder was pain free.
And during the entire cycle, I was working full time, promoting the challenge part time, traveling, practicing my dance(If you don't know me you wouldn't know I dance), competing, and still making time for friends and family. During the #DreamLifeWYP2 I even found 30 minutes to workout at Spaworld! Haha in the past 8weeks I was working 10:30-7pm Monday through Friday, I went to Maryland and toured DC one weekend, I went to Philadelphia to speak in front of community leaders and citizens of Philadelphia, I went to dance competitions in New York, as well as a weekend competing in Miami, just this past weekend was another competition in Boston. I'm not perfect though, there were days when I just couldn't gather the energy to get out of bed and do that 7am workout so I can go to work and plan challenge parties or meetings with my team after work. But there was no reason why I couldn't commit to overcome the challenges and do my best at it!
The next time someone tells me I don't have enough time to go to the gym and get fit! Ill tell them the story of my 8week challenge!
