I've never said my weight to anyone in my life, until the end of this 8-week challenge. I felt embarrassed and guilty because I always took responsibility for being overweight but didn't know how to handle it.
Luckily through this 8-week challenge, supportive friends, exercise, and the YOR Health product line, I went from 240 lbs to 219 lbs,not including the 20 lbs I had lost before I joined the 8-week challenge. Before the challenge, I was on the products consistently, but felt that working out was becoming boring, so I didn't see myself continuing to get the results I have now that I'm doing the challenge.
Taking this challenge on has boosted my self esteem, because I set a goal, publicly declared it, and had my friends doing it with me. Not only did I have verbal support, but also physical support, where my friends and I would work out together. Through this process I realized how fun it can be to stay fit; I adapted a new philosophy that it is not about dieting, it's about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
I combined my joy for dancing and music with my goal to lose weight, and made Zumba and Caribbean rhythm my best friends. I did Zumba twice a week for two hours each time, and Caribbean rhythm twice a week for an hour each time. I would sweat more during these activities than any other time. Other than that I went to the gym twice a week for an hour to lift weights.
The products I used the most were MRP, complete burn and digest ultra. I took complete burn and MRP 3 times a day, and digest ultra whenever I ate solid foods. The products improved both my endurance and digestion. Although I suffer from asthma, I was able to workout longer. Overall, I felt lighter than I ever felt before.
Throughout this 8-week challenge I learned that you can be an example in your family, circle of friends, and community for someone else to move. I am only human but I feel invincible, my life is progressing, and I love it!
