MY ESSAY

Hello everyone!! I'm a mother of two young kids, 3 years old girl and a 7 months old baby boy. I am also a business owner, working 6 days a week.

Before having kids I used to work out all the time. But after having two kids I gained 25 pounds. With lack of sleep, and busy running a business I never seem to have the energy to do anything after putting the kids to bed. I decided to join the challenge because I want to loose the baby weight, to get healthier, to have more energy keep up with the kids. I also want to be a role model for my children to live a healthier life style.

After giving birth to my son I could tell my joints, especially my knees and elbows often aches. Some nights I go to sleep with an aching knee and sometimes it keeps me up all night.

Before doing taking the challenge I always feel tired, more like exhausted after a restless night and a long 10 hour day at work. We usually have take outs for dinner, because it's the easiest thing to do. I may cook only once or twice a week. Ever since I started the challenge I am eating healthier, making smart choices when I do grocery shopping. I now have MORE energy to cook and clean the house more often.

Even though I still have a few more pounds to loose, but I am grateful for the opportunity to regain my confidence, my health, and my energy. I feel like myself again.

I take 2 vitamins and 2 super slim for morning, lunch and dinner. My shake consist of 2 scoops of supergreens, 1 scoop fiber, 2 scoops of vanilla shake, and 1 pack of berry blast (only for breakfast). My lunch is usually with lots of veggies and just a little of protein. I take 2 probiotics and 2 muscle repair before bed.

I tried to walk the track after work, on average 3 days a week for about an hour.

This challenge allows me to make an influence everyone in my house to eat healthier. Like my daughter who does not eat vegetables is now eating broccolli, my husband is also eating 90% healthier than before. I now have a greater understanding of my body and learned how to take better care of myself and my family.
