To give a little background on myself, I am 29 years old and I work as a Civil Engineer. I am married with two kids and another on the way. I was very active in high school but through college I slowly quit working out and retained my bad eating habits. By the time I graduated I was significantly heavier and out of shape. For the last 6 ½ years since graduating I have tried to start working out and eating better. I have managed to do it in sporadic, short increments but with a professional desk job, a 1 hour one way commute and a family to come home to I have not been very successful at being consistent. I made a conscious decision that I was going to commit 100% to the Challenge so when I started the Challenge I was very motivated and excited. I wasn’t sure what to set as my goal. I knew I wanted to lose some weight and increase muscle mass but wasn’t sure how to quantify it so I just got to work. As I went I began to see results which kept me motivated.
I have been taking each of the YOR Health products. I use the MRP to replace breakfast and as a post workout drink. My favorite products are the SuperGreens and Repair Ultra. The Repair has done wonders for me. I have struggled with tendonitis in my right elbow and knees. For me, running usually results in stiff knees and pain for a few days after. During the Challenge I started running again and my knees feel great. I ran in two 5k races and plan to do many more. I also play beach volleyball, softball and basketball. My endurance is 100 times better and I feel more athletic. For the first time in a long time I was able to commit myself and work out consistently 4-6 times a week for the whole 8 weeks. I was able to lose 8 pounds while increasing my muscle mass. I definitely plan to continue my routine and believe I have taken the necessary steps to do so.
