I have a beautiful supporting wife along with our two lovely sons, age five and one. I recently quitted my job to help my wife with her fulltime career as a real estate agent and her parttime as well. I was working 60-80 a week and would barely get to see my wife and sons. Now, after quitting, I have all the time in the world to support my wife and enjoy the precious time with my two sons.
This is my second time doing the 8 Week Challenge. I decided I wasn't at my goal weight and would love to get down to the 100-pound club and I'm halfway there! Lost 10 pounds this cycle with a total weight-loss of 50lbs. With my father in law going through his leg being amputated and the following week with a heart surgery, I didn't do as well as I was worried about him being in and out of the hospital and just the thought of his passing. Just the hardship and the toughness of him going through the surgery made me realize I REALLY need to step up my game of losing weight and being healthier for my wife and two sons.
The hard part of doing the 8 Week Challenge this time was finding time: time to work, time to go to the gym, time to visit my father in law in the hospital, time for my family. Just a lot of hardships went by as one of my sister in law lost her baby due to high blood pressure, my mother in law being sick, and my father in law going in and out of the hospital. But I forgot to take care of me first. If I take care of others, who would take care of me? My sons? So for the next following Challenge, I will be more dedicated to my goal weight.
I've noticed my clothes were more loose, feeling faster on the treadmill/stairs, actually wanting to play with my kids, and my stomach isn't so huge and seeing an outline of my abs! I feel really good and just having that confidence back again! Better now than before and I would like to thank YOR Health for who I am today! Thank you!
