I’ve always been a bit chubby, never fat enough to do anything serious about my weight but thick enough to always check if the large size was in stock whenever I found a cute dress while online shopping. I suppose that was the real reason I decided to take up the challenge, the smaller I am, the bigger the chance I have of finding nice clothes. And according to everyone, eating healthy and exercising regularly will help me lose the weight.

At the start, the routine of working out every morning 5 days a week was easy, but it was the eating healthy that proved difficult. Having a sweet tooth is a hard addiction to break. I was able to get through the day with my morning smoothie of berry blast, super greens and fibre. The vanilla protein shake actually came to be my favourite YOR product that I used, but I believe it was the combination of the probiotics and digest ultra that would have made the biggest difference to my overall health and gut bacteria.

I’m not sure if I ended up at my goal weight, in fact the hardest challenge I found was keeping the motivation to meal prep and go to the gym when I wasn’t seeing the same quick results that everyone else around me was achieving. However after talking to my family, friends, trainers and sometimes my Uber driver, I realised that the challenge wasn’t a quick fix to a good body but in fact the start of a healthy lifestyle journey that I need to continue on. If I’m able to be this proactive about my health for 8 weeks then I would definitely be able to endure it for a lot longer, possibly the rest of my life. But we’ll see.
