Let me start by saying that everyone that has participated in the 8 week challenge has my utmost respect for sharing their journeys with the world. You make what I now know to be a daunting task seem effortless and I salute you all.
In fact, I had to lose weight before I was willing to ACTUALLY participate in this challenge take a before photo i was willing to post(I'm sure someone in the back office can attest to my many photo-less profiles I created). How I saw myself in my mind and what i saw in the mirror was not the same. Reflecting on it now, It was hard for me to look my own personal neglect in the face. So instead I did nothing, which didn't make me feel any better. As you can imagine with such an approach, my weight rapidly increased and none of my clothes fit, sending me into a negative tail spin. I felt insecure in almost every social setting and I found my self creating excuses to not go out, which had a negative impact on my business and most of my friendships.
I took me 8 weeks exactly to lose the 1st 15lbs (another challenge i never submitted photos for), and to build up the courage to follow through with the challenge. In those 8 weeks I used 2 slim sets changed my diet but didn't visit the gym often and still lost 15 lbs! This is when i started to get motivated. I thought if i lost 15lbs using the product consistently, what if i used the products & worked out more consistently. I created my profile (while i had the nerve) 8 weeks later, here we are another 15lbs down & loving every min of it.
While I'll will be the first to admit that i'm still a work in progress. I will say to anyone out there still on the fence just do it! The pros far out weigh the cons. You'll be glad you did.
