When I heard about the 8 week challenge, I was immediately attracted to it; not just because of the science behind the products and the amazing results from previous testimonials, but because of the passion behind the promoter, Sheel Patel.
I have always had moderate issues with my weight since high school. It would go up and down in a continuous cycle because I would attempt to lose weight with the different methods & diets but then fall off or loose it too quickly that it would come back faster than I had taken it off. On top of having my weight shift so often, I wouldn’t have any energy or motivation to get active and to make a change in my habits. I would make excuses, take naps instead of go to the gym, wait for an elevator to go up one floor, and all sorts of lazy habits most of us have adapted too. All of this also contributed to poor eating habits, unhealthy sleeping patterns and many of the digestive issues that go along with a less than mediocre eating plan. I’ve been blessed enough to not have any major health issues but my mental and personal problems were just as heavy on me. I’ve never liked the way I look. I’ve always felt as though I was the “fat sister” in picture with my own sister. I’ve always felt the need to suck in when I take pictures or am around new people. I also used alcohol as a method of self-worth and happiness at times.
But January 7th 2013, I decided to change my life. I was sick and tired of hearing myself complain about the way I looked when no one else saw me the way that I saw myself. That was the day I got on the scale and realized that I was reaching the heaviest weight I’ve ever been in my life (170lbs, Summer 2012) at a hefty 165lbs. At 5’1”, 165lbs isn’t where you want to be at age 23 years young. It was time for me to make a change; not only a change, a lasting one. That’s when I started changing my eating habits and cutting out something unhealthy for me each week. When spring came along, I began adding exercise to my weekly routine 2-3 days. When a friend of mine, Brent Burris, text me in May about attending a challenge party, the planets couldn’t have been more aligned. May 21st was the day I figured out what I was supposed to be doing not only for myself but also for my family and friends. It’s the day I finally found out about the 8-week challenge. For myself, finding out was just step one, because truth be told I didn’t sign up for another 6 weeks. Why is this? I believe it to be because I hadn’t reach that point in my life where I truly wanted it as much as I needed it. I kept telling everyone and myself all about it. I even got a friend to agree to sign up with me but it wasn’t until I had to go through some things, make some personal goals for myself, stop drinking alcohol, change the people I surrounded myself with, make time to learn more about this product and this company. It wasn’t until then that I again got sick and tired of hearing myself procrastinate about what I wanted to do and actually do it. On July 7th, I finally committed to getting fit and joined the challenge.
My starting weight was 133lbs at the time I started the challenge and as soon as my products came I began taking them! I started with the Best Body Promoter Set, so that not only I could take all the products myself but have the opportunity to share them with people who were interested in the challenge as well. I took almost every product, everyday. Each morning I would start my day with my YOR Probiotics Ultra & YOR Repair then I would proceed to my morning run and workout. Post my workout I would make a YOR MRP Vanilla Shakes with YOR Fiber Plus and a serving of fruit. Most mornings I would have a shake for breakfast, especially for the first 4 weeks, but the longer I took the products and the more I began working out, the more likely I was to replace a later meal with an YOR MRP or have one after my afternoon or evening workout. When I wasn’t enjoying a shake I made sure to take my YOR Digest Ultra and YOR Essential Vitamins with my meals. And lets not forget my mid-morning and late afternoon snacks of YOR Super Greens and sometimes, depending on if I was working out after my shake, YOR Berry Blast. Last but not least I always took a YOR Complete Burn before my workouts to maximize my results. The first four weeks I exercised 4-5 days a week; today I workout 6-7 days a weeks for at least 3-4 hours. Working out has become a major part of my life.
Although my results aren’t drastic physically, they have completely changed mentally, emotionally, spiritually and internally. I sleep better than ever and wake up with just as much if not more energy than I went to be with. All the energy I have from the change internally has allowed me to no longer desire alcohol and now I have a blast getting water wasted with my friends. I love myself now more than I ever have in my entire life. I can look at myself in the mirror and know that I am an phenomenal woman of God. I have created better relationships with my family members and friends. And most of all, I am healthy! Got my yearly physical and nothing what so ever is wrong.
This is only the beginning, I’m committed to getting fit, I’m ready make those necessary strides and changes in my life to have a healthy happy long life and to make sure that those closet to me can live that life too. I’m blessed beyond belief for everything YORHealth has done for me and I look forward to my next challenge!
