My name is Ellen Palmer. My daytime profession, I am a teacher specialist at a local 7th thru 12th grade school in Pomona, California.

I am a happy mother of two. We just welcomed our second beautiful baby boy into the family. Being able to have kids has been an absolute blessing for us, especially because of what we went through trying to have children.

It is obvious that I am very tall, and it is no secret that I use to excel a lot when I was younger in a lot of sports. I was very blessed to have played NCAA volleyball and I was a two-time All American throughout my career and have traveled even as far as Portugal to play professionally. I had a really good career with volleyball. As an athlete I paid attention to working out and going to practice and all that stuff but truly having great nutrition and dieting was not something that I really, really zeroed in on. And because I was in shape I never thought that I was mal-nutritioned, I never thought that I needed supplements. And being an athlete, I had always turned to exercise when I needed to drop some pounds. This worked well for me up until we started trying to have children.

These products, when they were introduced to me, I was at a time in my life when things were not so good. I had lost three babies before I started taking nutrition and dieting very seriously. Bare with me while I share a little bit about loosing my babies because it has a lot to do with why these products have changed my life. Ever since I was young I always dreamed about having children. I just new it was part of my destiny. So when Howie, my husband, and I found out that we were pregnant with my first baby, we were completely ecstatic about it and thought that this is what God meant to happen for us. We did not plan for that particular baby to come because it was not at a particular time when were completely ready, but it happened and we thought that this was the plan God wanted for us, so we went along with it.

My first battle with weight came after we lost our first baby in 2006. After we lost the baby my husband tried his very best to help me cope with the loss. I remember having very long talks with him, kind of our own version of therapy. Although logically everything made sense, emotionally it did not. Even though the doctor had explained to us that there was nothing that we did wrong, deep in the back of my mind I blamed myself. Despite all my husbands efforts to help me make sense of everything, I questioned it and I didn’t share with him just how depressed I really was. I was always the type of person that never wanted to show all my emotions to people; be crying in front of them - because athletes don’t do that kind of stuff, we’re tough. So I would go and teach my kids at school. I would put on this face that I was so happy, that everything was OK, and that Ellen could handle it, but deep inside I was going through so much emotional turmoil. Needless to say, during that time in my life it was not easy. So when the second and third miscarriages came, each around the third month, and both happened after the baby’s hearts had stopped beating, I started blaming myself. I started thinking maybe I did something wrong. I started thinking things like: maybe we don’t match; our gene pool isn’t a good mix. Then we started talking like maybe we are not meant to have kids. We talked like maybe it wasn’t in our cards to have kids of our own. Maybe we would just have to adopt. Logically all of those things made sense, but emotionally deep down inside all I could think about was wanting to have kids of my own and I was not happy.

So, when we found out about our actual first child, the first child I was successful with, we didn’t find out until the fourth month. This gave us new hope because we had made it past the danger zone in our pregnancy. We didn’t know initially what we did differently. When we went back and examined it, I tell you it started with paying attention to our nutrition and taking the Yor Health supplements.

Just recently, after having our second son in May, I have been able to loose a total of 39 pounds in just two challenges. I have been able to do this solely by using the Yor Health products as recommended. I take 2 vitamins and at least 1 digestive enzyme with every meal. I take a probiotics and a repair on an empty stomach every evening before bed. I drink at least 1 Supergreens every morning and I drink anywhere from 2 to 4 MRPs throughout the day.

I love the fact that after both of my sons have been born I have been able to manage my weight using the Yor Health supplements but even more importantly they have helped me manage my emotions these past five years.
