Well this certainly was hard journey to go through but also a very rewarding one! I will never go back to training without these products again! Going from taking 2-3 days to recover from a workout to now only needing one day recovery has truly changed my training and have the results to show!
A little background information about myself. I've always been a fan of the gym since a left highschool. I was very skinny in my teens and found the gym to be my best friend as I saw results straight away!
Ok so I've always been a bit of party animal in the recent years and done my for share of drinking. Earlier this year my father suffered a heart attack and was out into a 6 week coma where he was kept alive by life support. Seeing him being kept alive by tubes down his throat had opened my eyes and made me realise that life's too short to take things for granted. I stopped partying and did my own personal 12 week challenge. I stopped drinking, stopped partying and didn't go out. For someone who went out drinking every weekend with friends, this was huge! I did awesome on my challenge and got amazing results. Everyone was proud of what I achieved and congratulated me.
A few months had passed and i was back to being bulky as i was trying to put on size. half way through the year I was introduced to yor health by a friend of mine and immediately I jumped at the opportunity to be involved in something I am so passionate about! I was hooked! Being someone who spent countless dollars on supplements for years now and finally coming across products that made me feel %110 I was convinced straight away!
I was out to prove a point this time around because a lot of my friends told me that the products are just like every other one out there.. this pushed me even harder and I had beaten my prior challenge results in just 4 weeks!
I was eating relatively clean for the first 4 weeks and just dropped my carb intake slowly every week. I found that on the products, without even taking Berry blasts, I was pushing so much harder in the gym and everyone around started noticing. I was leaning up quickly and yet getting stronger! Which is exactly what I wanted! Thank god for super greens!!
Now I'm usually one to go out to dinner a few times a week. My friends were all annoyed with me as I was being strict and couldn't do anything they wanted. These times were tough as having the support of your friends gets you over the line! But I found that my new yor family were constantly pushing me to keep going and stay positive!
Now I took a week off work to modify my car which I had been collecting parts for. My boss asked me to help out on the Wednesday as he really needed a job done. So I went in and helped out..half way through the day I slit my wrist on a piece of sheet metal duct :( it was quite a deep cut and shocked me as it exposed my vein! Lucky it didn't slice it and hospital sent me home with instructions may to use it for a week or 2.. this was the end of week 6 and I had been training 7 days a week! Being told I can't train sent me mad! I tried light exercises after a few days and split it open again :( tried legs..split yet again! I gave myself till the Monday And was smashing 3-4 repair ultras a day hoping it would fix my cut within 5 days! And it did! Doctors told me it would be at least a week or 2 before I lift again.. the power of an alkalised body is amazing!!
In my final week of my challenge I dropped carbs out completely for 4 days and just stuck to steak, chicken and fish with veggies for every meal.
Coming to the last few days I was starting to think about what I am going to treat myself with once I finish... and what my plans are next.
Now that its officially over, I've decided to keep on leaning up till the annuals so I can take an ab shot with Ben handsaker haha but I will indulge in a cherry ripe cake on the weekend :D
This is most definitely not my last challenge! I love the commitment and drive that pushed me through this! The results I got from this are just mind blowing and has given me so much confidence in myself! Growing up being the skinny kid to now having a hard earned body is just the best feeling. And being congratulated by everyone for sticking through it where a lot would give up.
