My initial weight at the beginning of the 8-wk Challenge was 206 lbs. Now: 194. I wanted to build better eating habits and take better care of my body. I wanted to improve my health so that I do not get sick as easily as I used to. During the Challenge, I made sure that I committed myself to taking my YorHealth products consistently as well as working out on a routine regimen.
Products: Each day, I took my MRP shakes minimum of twice a day. My shakes consists of Vanilla MPR+ SuperGreens. 1st Shake in morning I add a Berry Blast as well. On the mornings of working out, I would also take a Complete Burn (pls check with physician if suitable for yourself before taking)I take my Yor Vitamins 3x's a day, 2 each time. I made sure that I took the Digest Ultra Enzymes with every meal that I ate. I started to shrink the portions of my meals to a more proper amount. (I used to eat whatever portion fitted on my plate or in my bowl.) After my workouts, I would take my Yor Ultra Repairs right after the workout, and then my MRP approx 45min – 1hour after. Every night before bed, I would take an extra Repair along with Probiotic Ultra.
Workout: My weekly regimen would be 5 days of working out and 2 days of rest. My workouts consist of mix of cardio and a particular matt workout, Tracy Anderson Method, and a little Pilates. Every other day, I would do 30min-1hr of cardio. The other days would be the Tracy Anderson method, focusing on the matt workout. This workout focuses on having you exhaust your accessory muscles so that it will help put those muscles to work & tone them. As with my Pilates, it is not a lot. It takes approx 10-15 min since I only work on 3 of the techniques. So I would make time for this at the end of each workout. Even on the mornings when I cannot get up to hit the gym; I would at least stretch in my room and do the Pilates. Every bit of workout can always help your health, even just taking the time to stretch your muscles.
I started opening up my eyes and ears to new ideas and views on health and better eating habits. I started to play around with recipes using healthier veggies such as Kale, Brussels Sprouts, Beets, etc. Love them! I realized that the main reason we put up walls against certain foods can be highly due to the past when we may have tried it prepared in a certain way that did not appeal to us. I have found spices that can help bring out the best flavors in healthy foods that everyone can enjoy consuming. (helps that i have a passion for foods. haha!) I have also learned from a good friend about benefits of juicing to help bring the nutrients of veggies into your body. So I would replace daily snacks with a fresh juice consisting 90% of vegetables.
My Daily food habits and workout has allowed me to drop 12 lbs during this challenge. I feel more energetic since I do not eat alot of the foods now that i used to such as junk foods. I feel lighter, sexier, more energetic, and definitely more confident with these results. Taking my experience from this challenge, I have decided to re-join the next Challenge Group and continue this process of improving my body and health. I believe that this 8-wk Challenge is a great stepping stone for anyone, and i mean anyone to slowly improve their health and health habits. It is the simplest plan I have seen so far!! Lovin' it!
