When I entered the challenge I was 139 pounds. I recently found out that I have degenerative disk disease in my lumber spine, which is a condition in which the spinal disks herniate and deteriorate with time (a condition I have dealt with since I was 6 years old).
I always worked out a lot and by November 2013 I was lifting 45-lb dumb-bells and leg pressing 310-lbs! In late November 2013, my back went out and has placed me out of my workout routine and the gym overall for 3 months. For 2 consecutive weeks, I could not walk, bathe independently or even flush out my anatomical necessities on my own. My brother had to carry me around because I could not feel my legs. It was the worst painful episode I had yet experienced! I found myself gaining weight and being depressed.
My cousins and YOR Health Promoters, Angely and Marlyn Rojas, sent me a YOR Repair bottle when they heard of my condition. I literally swallowed more than half the bottle of repair pills with ABSOLUTELY NO SIDE-EFFECTS! In half the day, I was walking again and feeling like myself! I knew this was my best solution to get motivated to keep in good health and in the best shape I can!
Hence, I not only purchased the YOR Health entire line, I became a promoter with the Entrepreneur set! I needed to change my health drastically if this spinal condition is to delay my process of being fit and sculpting. This was the beginning of my 8-Week Challenge!!
I did not replace a meal with the YOR MRP's, but used it in between meals as snacks because I have a serious weakness for chocolates and anything carb related!. I already was aware of how to eat healthy, but working 16 hour days, I began substituting more and making even more healthier choices in my foods. The shakes helped control and curve my cravings!
After 3 weeks, I would then drink the MRP's with my meals, totaling consumption of the shakes to about 5 times a day. With my meals I would take 2 enzymes, totaling 6 times a day and 2 probiotics (1 upon rising in a fasted state and 1 before going to bed). I did treat myself every now and then, but not with heavy junk foods because my body got used to the healthy eating habit I developed.
I recently started to go back to the gym, 3-4 times a week only doing cardio such as cycling class, elliptical training for 20 minutes and then the sauna for 15 minutes. All in which I consumed the berry blast with 33oz of water. The super greens really helped with secretion of excrements and toxins. They became my favorite item to consume because of the powerful effect in my body!
As a result, I have lost 5 pounds and 2 sizes (went from a size 6 to a size 4) and reduced my body fat from 25 to 24. I feel can eat big healthy meals and not feel sleepy because my body is not working overtime to digest foods! On October 2014, I will be racing in a 165 bike trail for Lung Cancer and will begin training in March, which I am super excited about! Though the change may not be as drastic, but I am more energized, my weight is controlled and I fit into clothes I was not able to wear for 5 years! I have decided to follow Angely Rojas's footsteps and train to be in fitness bikini modeling as my long term goal!
