Before starting the Slim 8 week challenge I was at my highest weight of 110kg. I have been taking the Yor Health products for approximately 2 years now however I was never in a good routine of frequency or consistency. In the last 6 months I have gotten into a down pack routine that is allowing me to get the most out of the products. I knew that with my knowledge expanding on how my body works and having a better understanding of health from many Yor health presentations I had to do something to improve my overall health and well being. In combination with taking these Quality products it has motivated me to want to do more to improve my current lifestyle.
I thought that a Slim 8 week challenge would be the perfect opportunity to help me to make some much needed changes to my diet, exercise and just general day to day routine.
I have grown up in my family where junk food has been a big factor in our diets. From the fridge being filled with endless supplies of soft drinks, various varieties of potato chips and other highly processed snack foods in the pantry, deep fried foods for many meals and many more unhealthy habits. These weren't just treats for my family these were what made up our main meals too. Over time I have tried to change my eating habits but found it very difficult with the families culture towards food. I have also previously tried various other diets however never found one that worked for me or that I could stick to. In my family as children we all conducted in some kind of sport however as we got older and got jobs most of us stopped playing or dramatically reduced our participation in our preferred sports.
I knew that the 8 weeks were going to be very challenging and difficult for me but I knew it was something I needed to at the very least try!
At the start of the 8 weeks the only physical activity I was doing was playing one game of competitive basketball a week. I wasn't even training. In the first week of my challenge I joined a gym to help encourage me to become more physically active and decided to set out a plan for my Yor Health products and food on a daily basis. Each night I prepared food and my Yor healh products for the next day and packed a bag of clothes for gym. This helped to prevent me from becoming lazy and just getting take away or convenience foods.
During these 8 weeks I have been going to the gym frequently, at least 3 times a week. I took my products averaging on super greens 3 x daily, berry blast 2 x daily, fibre and vanilla MRP 3 x daily, alongside with my daily requirements of probiotics, digest ultra and essential vitamins.
Not only did they help me lose weight, but my energy levels have never been higher. I have ample energy to go the gym after work, whereas I use to be taking naps. I have substantially less mood swings. My skin is clear and brighter than ever. I am sleeping a lot better throughout the nights and my snoring is slowly going away.
Although I didn't reach my ideal weight of 100kg or lower this is still a massive achievement for me. During these 8 weeks I have gone from a size 40 waist to a 36 waist. I have gained a lot of muscle mass, sustainable energy levels, motivation, determination and self confidence.
Thanks to Yor Health it has helped me to move away from my previous unhealthy habits and lifestyle and value my health a great deal more. I know I still have changes to make and a long way to go but I have piece of mind knowing that my body is being fed and fueled with the highest quality of products and receiving the nutrients it requires from the Yor Healths unique NDS.
