The challenge was much more than just a way to lose weight and build muscle. The challenge further convinced me to change my lifestyle. Before the challenge, I was convinced I would be a low energy, laid back guy my whole life. I now feel alive and more alert in everything I do. Not only am I excited to share this challenge with others as a rep, I'm also ecstatic to start living the life I was meant to live.
For too long, I was satisfied with having an average body and not being in shape. I'm married now, who do I have to impress?? For too long I thought there was nothing I could do to change my body no matter how much I worked out. For TOO LONG I fed my body toxins brought to me by the 'American Diet'. The challenge has given me a second chance to take my body to the next level, to raise my consciousness about nutrition, health and exercise, and to connect with family, friends and future challenge takers.
I started the challenge January 1st at 188 pounds with a goal weight of 180 lbs. I had been on the products since November 17th but felt the challenge would help me focus on my fitness goals. My daily regimin consisted of MRP, Super Greens and fiber for breakfast; digestive enzymes and YOR Health multivitamin at lunch and dinner and probiotic and repair in the evening before bed. I would take Berry Blast or Complete Burn before workouts or runs. This regimin allowed me to wake every morning feeling alert and energized thereby eliminating my need for coffee or other caffeinated drinks as an energy source.
For exercise, I began taking group fitness classes 2-3 times per week at 5:45 AM. This was definitely a big change for me as I enjoy my morning sleep and snuggling. The classes were a mixture of yoga and strength training/conditioning. I got great results quickly and am currently heavily considering becoming a certified personal trainer. I also ran outside with my dogs 2-3 times per week, even through the harsh winter elements.
I work full-time as an Athletic Trainer which requires long hours and attention to detail. The products helped me stay focused on the job and help connect with student-athletes and patients on a whole new level. I became more interested in their story and listened with more intent. This helped me understand the root of their injury or condition and help them overcome it. The products gave me the energy to get through 50+ hours of work per week and be there for my family when I got home. My wife was excited that I wasn't coming home, plopping on the couch, tuning her out and not talking with her. I am now eager to share my day with her, listen to her and talk about our future. We both could feel the change happening between us and the challenge has definitely helped us grow as a couple.
During this 8 weeks, I had the privilege of attending YOR IN! It was truly amazing and inspiring to hear from those who have had success in YOR Health. The energy created and found there was something I've never experienced before and I hope anyone affiliated with YOR Health has the chance to experience in their lifetime. I somehow managed to not gain any weight there because I know I had my fair share of guacamole!
I really believe in the challenge and feel that anyone can do it and get results. Everyday, you wake up excited to work out and eat healthy, to connect with people all around you and reach out to others looking for positive change in their life. Today, I weighed in at 178 pounds and am at a weight where I feel comfortable and a little sexy-which is o.k. :). I am going to continue to challenge myself to eat right and stay physically active. I applaud YOR Health for creating the challenge and giving me extra motivation and strength.
