This second 8-week challenge for me has been very fulfilling. I decided on joining another cycle because I felt like I didn’t take my first one seriously. I was never really satisfied with how my body transformed in the last 3 years since I moved to Hong Kong, and I almost accepted the fact that my weight gain is a losing battle.
When I started with this challenge, I was on vacation in the Philippines, eating everything in sight. I felt really lethargic after a week of eating my homeland’s delicacies, so I decided to re-join the day before I had to go back home to Hong Kong. I started with 95kg, taking photos early in the morning to make sure I’m in my lightest state. This was when I really decided to take action.
When I got back to Hong Kong, I consulted a personal trainer friend. He gave me a daily program I could use in the gym. On the first few weeks, I followed it as much as I could, but I was still gaining weight. I went up to 97kg, 3 weeks into the challenge, so I decided to rest my body for a few days and restart my program. The best transformation I got was when I really got into cardio. I did a LOT of cardio sessions, swimming in the morning (4-5 times a week) and sometimes doing another 30-minute run in the afternoon (1-2 times a week). Started slow, but gradually improved with my swimming again (I was a competitive swimmer from elementary to College), and started getting fond of running. I basically can’t go through a whole week without doing 4-5 cardio sessions. This is also why I started loving the products more. I basically use everything in the system that I could get my hands on. In the morning, I took a Super green and a berry blast before swimming. This mix really gave me energy to last me almost until the afternoon. The Chocolate MRP also got me through breakfast, mixed in with a frozen banana, the Fibre Plus, some milk and some more Super greens. I also took the Digest, Repair, Probiotics, Vitamins and Complete burn based on the recommended program. I really used the entire product line to its full advantage.
Everything happened while holding a full time job, being a Kindergarten Teacher, and having a second career as a theatre performer. Everyone knows that children suck the life out of you, now imagine working with at least 25 of them in one room, then doing shows and gigs after. Now, THAT is a real challenge. Finding the time and energy to do the workouts was not easy, but the products has given me enough fuel to push on with the challenge. Basically waking me up at 6am, and getting me going until 10/11pm.
Today, on the 56th day, I weighed in at 91 Kg. I know it was 1kg short of my target, but technically, I basically lost 6 kg. Gaining weight halfway, then losing more really makes me feel proud of what I've done in this cycle. Visible results are always a treat to the eyes. Joining this second cycle has changed the way I eat, the way I feel about exercise, and has captured my spirit back. It also reconnected me to one of my true loves, swimming.
