When I chose to join the 8 Week Challenge I was choosing to rise above the digestion and dietary issues I have been facing for the last 4 1/2 years. I have celiac disease and have recently discovered I have to limit the nightshades in my diet. When I eat gluten my body attacks my small intestine leaving me to suffer from malnutrition, severe joint inflammation and I gain 3 to 4 pounds every time I have any kind of cross-contamination. When I have gluten or cross-contamination I suffer from horrible bloating, nausea, migraines and exhaustion for 5 days until my body has recovered. Obviously I can't just stop moving from day to day. I have a 9 year old son, 3 dogs and a husband in addition to having a life in the ballroom world and other friends I do things with like meeting for coffee or dinner. I can't just crawl in bed and not come out every time I have a flare-up unexpectedly. I know so many other people who face similar challenges and live everyday feeling defeated or scared to live life outside of their home due to the horrible symptoms they suffer from if they have any gluten or cross-contamination.

When I would try to be active and go salsa dancing or to the gym I would wake up the next day and not be able to walk. The pain I felt in my right hip was excruciating! My husband used to tease me about being in a wheelchair by the time I was 45. I'm currently 36 and even though I would laugh or joke back, I felt horrible because my reality was heading that direction. I've always been an active person.

YOR Health has given me my life back. I have color in my cheeks, I have more energy, I was able to kick my coffee/Starbucks addiction and in the last 4 weeks I have been able to try new fitness classes. I have been taking hip hop classes 2 to 3 times a week, a private pilates class once a week and weekly kickboxing classes in addition to the ballroom dancing I already do 2 to 3 times a week. I've been doing all this along with lifting weights at the gym with my husband 3 times a week. I've also been able to go on long bike rides with my son which makes him happy.

The YOR Probiotics, YOR Repair and YOR Digest Ultra have been a God send, I take each of them daily, sometimes multiple times in a day if there's a flare-up. When I do have a flare-up I have found that these 3 products have helped me to recover much faster than in the past. The MRP, YOR Vitamins, Berry Blast and SuperGreens have helped me to absorb nutrients that I wouldn't otherwise be able to absorb during those flare-ups. I don't feel like I can't eat enough versus in the past I would be completely bloated but still feel like I was starving. I follow- my YOR Health regimen daily and always drink an MRP after a workout. My recovery time is amazing. It's not very often I wake up with lactic acid build up in my muscles or joint inflammation even after punching a spar buddy and/or punching bag for an hour in kickboxing. I'm able to dance for hours and walk away feeling good. I still can't run but with everything else I can do why would I want to run?!!

The 8 Week Challenge has given me the opportunity to experience new opportunities, classes, meeting new people and the ability to enjoy my life with family and friends. I hope to inspire others to take action and not be a victim no matter their health challenges.
