My name is Amelia Talanoa and I have just finished my YOR health 8 week challenge, with all honesty it’s been a very fun and most definitely the hardest journey for me.

Before the challenge, you would always find me at home with my 1 year old daughter, sleeping in and eating whatever was at my hands reach! Not good! Training and fitness was never in my mind until I attended a YOR health 8 week challenge party where I saw people in my situation, and to see their transformations after the 8 week challenge, it was just jaw dropping!! This really motivated me, got me thinking that if they could do it, then I could!!

So I ordered me a slim pack, and planned to get started as soon as it arrived. While waiting for the package to arrive, I was doing my best to stop my silly eating habits, I tell you now, It was soo hard for me, no word of a lie. My package arrived on the 23rd of November 2014 and I started my challenge on the 25th.

First week started with walks around the block with my mother which lasted for only 20-30 minutes, it was slow, but for me, it was a workout, It became clear of how unfit I actually was. I was really not impressed, because before being a stay at home mother, I could run and do all these things without hesitation. The first week made me wonder if there was really something called ‘muscle memory’ lol. I’ve got to admit though, I had the chances to train more, but I felt so tired at times that I never pushed myself to train that way! This definitely was unfortunate, because I know that those trainings would’ve made that difference. This was pretty much how it was throughout the first 3 weeks, and what made things worse was Christmas on my 4th week. I did more silly eating, thinking I’d walk it off. ? Seriously no good!!

After Christmas I made a deal with my husband and my brothers, and because of that, I found myself really stepping up with my trainings, New Years week, I started running around the local park, not only once, but 3 times, and at the end of it, my partner would take me through a few shoulder workouts with weights, squats, lunges and burpees. Did my best to amp it up at everyworkout. I was seeing changes! From my energy levels to the way I felt everyday. I’m not a shakes person, but I tell you now, these YOR health products are really something else, I love them, and I take them everyday, they taste great!!

Going to the end of my challenge, I really feel new! I feel I have put my heart into the last few weeks, I really pushed it these last weeks, what makes it better is people have noticed a difference. I do regret not giving it this effort from the start. Now I run up hills, can do 10-20 full burpees, I do boxing, I can do 5 full pushups, I can go on, but I don’t need to, I’v proven what I can do to myself. ? I have now finished my 8 week challenge, unfortunately I didn’t achieve my goal weight of 20kgs or more, but I did lose 5kgs, and dropped my dress size from wearing a size 16 tight fit and 18 good fit to now fitting nicely in size 12 which I am very happy of! Without the 8 week challenge, I know for sure that I would still be growing size wise. Thank-you to all who have helped me in this transformation, I would not have done this without each and everyone of you! A very special thank-you to my family, and the YOR health NZ family for all YOR support throughout these weeks, it was tough, but it was toughness I needed!!

But hay!! Don’t think this is it, as I said, these last weeks I’ve put my all in, and I now see the great benefits il get out of it. This is not the end, I AM JUST GETTING STARTED, I will be doing the 8 week challenge again. ? COME AT ME!!!!
