Knowing the scales would not give me the news I was hoping for, I was elated to find I had a combined loss of 15cm from where I started 8 weeks ago. This included dropping 5cm from my waist and a loss of 1.1kgs from 65.3kg down to 64.2kgs. This may not seem much, but it really was a morale lifting piece of news for me as I hardly went to the gym for most of my 8 weeks compared with my usual routine. I also struggled to get 7 hours of sleep per night, and we all know what lack of sleep does to our cravings. In review I’m very happy that my Yor Health products and Thermoslim nutrition guide generally kept me on the right track except for a few accidental incidents involving Jatz biscuits, some cheeky chocolate and a sneaky pizza…or two.

Receiving regular comments about my shiny hair and smooth complexion as well as a close friend asking twice what’s different about me has confirmed that the range of Yor Health products are top class and definitely work regardless of age. For a 52 year old menopausal woman this was music to my ears and hormones…especially when one of my work colleagues told me only last week that I’m “very mellow” compared to a year ago (before I was introduced to Yor Health).

Getting sufficient sleep, tracking your calorie intake and expenditure as well as planning ahead to meet your Thermoslim daily targets (especially protein) is THE KEY TO SUCCESS in the Challenge. Doing the Challenge with a friend or two helps you stay accountable, something I was very thankful for. I can’t wait to see what I can achieve in my next Challenge when I reacquaint myself with my gym instructor.

My exercise regime over the last 8 weeks was an average of only 1 visit per week to the gym, regular dog walking, a weekly hockey skills training session plus 1 or 2 games of field hockey each week.

My daily product regime included the delicious blend of SuperGreens, Berry Blast and Fibre with a Repair upon rising. MRP for breakfast, sometimes with a small piece of fruit, and again for afternoon tea (no fruit). Digest Ultra with lunch and dinner plus with any other cooked or heavy meal/snack. Probiotics and Repair before bed. Not forgetting Vitamins with breakfast and dinner, and Slims before lunch and before most dinners.

To get me through my hockey matches, and because my fitness is not where a running midfielder should be, I made sure I had an extra Berry Blast before playing. I then made sure I had 2 scoops of Vanilla MRP mixed with a sachet of Super Greens immediately after the game for recovery instead of my usual glasses of white wines. It was only recently that I started taking a Repair Ultra straight after each match – my fitness had dropped and I needed serious help with recovery and to allow myself to front up for back to back games. In addition, Monday night hockey matches at 7pm or 8pm meant I never got a good night’s sleep. When I found I could take a Repair immediately after the game as well as one before going to bed I was able to sleep so much more soundly and my muscles thanked me for that extra bit of loving. My Fitbit showed the difference with my sleep too.

The Challenge is an excellent reminder that we should all be kinder to our bodies a lot more than most of us are. It's all too easy to slip back into bad, lazy habits. The Thermoslim guide definitely made my life easier as all the planning was done for me.
