Hi my name is Andrew Harris and I joined this challenge out of pure necessity to keep myself in line over the Xmas/Holiday period. I am a tradesman and my lead up to the new year is always my busiest time.
It's normal for me to work straight through Nov-Dec without a day off and it's hard to stay consistent with my gym routine. Doing long work hours and working outdoors in Australian summer doesn't usually leave me with a lot of energy and time after work to hit the gym. On top of this I had a terrible month before starting the 8 week challenge with a knee injury that kept me limited at the gym so I was feeling fairly average about my overall condition. I knew that when I was finally going to get some time off work I would be going straight into the Xmas/Holiday ‘I eat everything' period (haha) so not great for keeping the body fat % down. I entered the 8 week Challenge to keep myself motivated and help get me through the hard weeks at work while still making some progress at the gym. Now that the challenge is over - I'm extremely happy with my results!!
I started the challenge weighing 74 kg / 163.14 lbs and I currently weigh 76 kg / 167.55 lbs. Considering it wasn’t the perfect challenge, these results surprised me. I had a target to do weight sessions 5-6 times per week but with one of the busiest seasons Ive had at work, I only got in 3-4 sessions. To gain a few kilos while reducing body fat percentage over the holiday period is not something I've been able to do in the past. I know I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without taking full advantage of the YOR products. This was my routine with the products:
Morning: YOR Probiotics Ultra and YOR Repair with water followed with YOR Supergreens and YOR Fibre Plus in my morning smoothie.
Lunch: YOR Digest Ultra and YOR Essential Vitamin x2
Before training: YOR Amino Hydrate
After training: YOR Supergreens x2 Scoops in smoothie
Dinner: YOR Digest Ultra and YOR Essential Vitamins x2
Before Bed: YOR Repair x2 and Essential Vitamin x2
Also whenever I was getting fatigued at work I would take YOR SuperGreens and YOR Berry Blast sporadically throughout the day to boost energy levels.
On top of this routine I was also taking advantage of the BARE OILS range and I feel they were an amazing addition. I used so many of the oils over the 8 weeks (too many to mention) so I will just mention my top 3 that I used daily.
Peppermint Oil - Would put 2 drops in Smoothies to aid in digestion
Pink Grapefruit Oil - Mixed with Supergreens/Water to curb food cravings
Frankincense Oil - Mixed in with Coconut oil to speed up muscle recovery
This Challenge was great! Im going into the new year with a completely different outlook to previous years. Im usually making excuses and setting big new years resolutions about getting back into shape but this year I feel fantastic about my physical condition and I have more energy than ever. It was also amazing doing this challenge with my girlfriend Anneke, it was fun keeping each other accountable and we are already working out when we are going to start the next challenge :)
