Hey everyone, my name is Pat Ivey I am an 18 year old currently studying exercise science full-time and based in Brisbane, Australia. From a young age I have always shown a strong passion in my own health and wellbeing as well as those around me and have always put a lot of time and effort into participating in physical activity and most importantly eating well.
In saying so, for some reason I had always found myself struggling over a number of areas of my own wellness, specifically in regards to recovery time, performance and improving overall as an athlete and I put that down largely to the supplements I was taking at the time (all the preworkout powders, creatine powders, protein powders etc). I had legitimately once thought that it was GOOD for me to be consuming up to 4-5 scoops of whey protein per day and that it was OKAY that I was only visiting the toilet 2-3 times per week- So before I had any prior knowledge on what the YOR health products were all about and the significance of good digestive health- I felt as if I was in a serious slump (lacking energy, breaking out in the skin etc) and felt as if something needed changing, desperately!!
Luckily for me, I had a close friend I knew from Melbourne who I noticed had been promoting YOR health products over facebook and using his Facebook status's to educate others on the benefits of alkalising the body rather than just simply for social networking. I had a few words to him in regards to the supplements and what they could potentially do for me. At first I was quite skeptic as to what these whole 'enzyme rich', 'plant based' supplements were all about until he explained it to me using the product presentations and everything seemed to click from there. I ended up learning more on the importance of alkalising the body, improving digestive health and the role that enzymes play in the body in an hours long presentation than I ever had all through secondary and tertiary education.
So I ended up taking his word for it (and all the credible sources that YOR health is backed by) and I purchased my first YOR health set, which from memory was the "Best Body Set". From that point onwards, I did everything I could to learn as much as possible about the products and the significance of good digestive health and it all came to me as abit of a shock as to why I didn't know about this all in the first place. So, by taking on the 8 week challenge and in turn proving to everyone around me how good these products work both for your insides and outs, my goal in mind was always to create awareness on the importance of 'going green' and spark some attention from the results witnessed over the 8 week period.
It has been evident straight up from the photos taken in week 1 compared to week 8, the changes and progress that has occurred when compared side by side. I weighed in at the start of the 8 week challenege at 81.5kg and have managed to put on close to 3kg of lean muscle mass over the 8 weeks and I can confidently say my success has come down to increased training intensity, improved diet and significantly the correct use of supplementation- specifically the YOR MRP mixed with the super greens and fibre plus shakes (which I would take daily). Training 5-6 times per week meant that my body was getting smashed so it required something that worked, and thats what YOR health provided. Not only the MRP, but also the YOR Repair ultra tabs allowed me to feel twice as good the next day and hence allowed me to increase my sessions in the gym occasionally to 2 per day instead of just the single session per day.
Where I am today is that I am very grateful to have come across the YOR health product range, especially my favourites the YOR super greens (with their 24 serves of fruit and veg) and everything they have done for me. The products have helped me so much particularly with regards to digestion and I now manage to wake up everyday with energy- its not such a drag getting through the mornings anymore.
Even though my 8 week challenge is now complete and I have witnessed some extremely positive changes occur to both my physical appearance and most importantly my internal health, I can only go upwards from this point on. By continuing to take the products on a daily basis, I will be allowing myself to reach optimum health and put myself in good steed for my future ambitions, specifically speaking, my goals in the fitness modelling and bodybuilding industry.
