Hello Yor health 2016 My name is Joanna Harris and I am 51 years old. I am a NZ maori/Chinese. I am a wife, a mother and I have just become a nanny to twin gran boys and a gran girl. My reason for taking on this challenge is because I have a obesity problem and health issues. For some time I have struggled big time trying to shred this weight. i been on so many diets, used the plastic waist wraps, liquid diet and the quicker I dropped the faster i put it all back on.There was times i would stick my finger down my throat after I ate so I wouldnt put weight on. None of it worked and I had low self-esteem, no confidence due to fat jokes, criticism. I never liked scales it made more disappointed. My health issues hit the roof, I struggled with more depressing news with my health, diabetes 2, hypothyroidism, Toxemia, and I have a deficiency of vitamin D, painful pain in my groin when I walk due to being obese and heavy.
Did you have any personal or physical challenges:
Personal - I have a low self-esteem, I am very self concious of my body, I don't have any confidents in myself. I am alway wherey of mirrors and shop windows cause it shows you how wide you look. to look nice for once and not get told your fat, you look like a hippo.
Physical : Is to be active, healthy, to loss my obesity and to be fit, and to gain confidence.
what Yor health products did you use:
Before I workout I use 2 drop of boost bare oil on my body and after my exercises I would then use the peppermint bare oil to help any muscle pains. Before doing my studies for PT I would have a Yor go greens and fibre and 1 drop of Lemon every morning. In my water I would have 1 drop of grapefruit bare oil. At 11.30am I would take my yor health slim tablets before Lunch. At 6pm would my last meal until 12.30pm the next day. Then before going to bed probotics and repair.
How offen did you exercise:
I do every day home workouts upper body in the morning, afternoon Ab/core. All these workouts are done from home so I more less find things at home to use for my exercises.
What impact has the challenge had on your life: Big time!! Finally seeing results after 16 years + of being overweight for so long and still able to eat normal food without dieting. Just having that support and your team working with you to achieve and overcome the many struggles of being big.
How did you feel about your before and after challenge:
Before photo : Finally taken a photo of myself for the 100 pound challenge and 8 week Challenge. I always thought I looked slim in my obese body but when I saw my photo I didn't realize I am fat!! yukkk!!!
After photo: I have my second photo taken for the 100lb challenge and all I could think of is negative thinking, I was dredding the results lol haha. I saw it and I am totally overwhelm and in shock!!! well I'm actually buzzing right now haha. I have never seen myself or been this for such a long time. That not me right now is it lol haha. I just want to thank my children for their support and Dave Nelson for his GGIF program. I am still losing weight and still working out as I have a goal to reach. If it's not this challenge then it will be the next!!
